Hotel Urashima

We stayed for 2 nights at Sanjokan which is their property on the hilltop. Huge room that was well maintained for its age. Incredible sunrise views from the ocean view room. We appreciated that they changed the dishes in our half buffet for the first evening vs. second evening. The tempura was amazing. Some of the staff can't speak English but they still tried their best to assist, with a pleasant attitude. The unique cave onsen is something to be experienced!

We wished that communication could be more upfront (e.g. there is an additional earlier 6.40am shuttle if you're headed to watch the 7am tuna auction, which is not explicitly indicated in the shuttle bus schedule and was only told to us verbally when we enquired about how to head to the pier in the early morning). If you're opting out of half board, I felt the last shuttle from the pier back to the hotel ends too early (7.30pm), leaving you with limited alternative choices to return to the hotel in the dark, as walking (through some dark tunnels in the hotel underground) is not ideal. Some of the common areas (e.g. rooftop to view the sunset) are showing its age and could be better maintained. The overall buffet selection could also be better.

The cave onsen was unique and beautiful. The ocean view room was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were very nice.

The beds were not very comfortable. Dinner and Breakfast were good, but we would have liked more variety for the buffet as it was the same food each day.

很謝謝我要離開的時候由一位服務人員，親自載我到接駁處，因為剛好沒趕上接駁巴士。因為要比較早離開飯店，還是希望飯店可以提供一個小盒子讓我可以外帶食物離開，不然都沒辦法好好享用食物。

剛好遇到飯店在整修，本館的電梯只剩一台可以使用，想當的不方便，而且也少了一些設施可以使用，最近要住宿的朋友可以再留意一下。
