cool off the beaten path cabin in a remote kibbutz area. you have to cook your own food or get take out as its not near restaurants. you will need a car too. but its a very cool cabin with a loft that could fit kids as well. great owners and friendly and beautiful atmosphere. aoubt 20 mins to the dead sea

"Amazing cabins close to the Dead Sea"

10.0

My boyfriend and I stayed here when visiting the Dead Sea and we loved it! The cabins are large and comfortable which was a nice departure from the small hotels we had been staying in the rest of our trip. You had supplies for cooking and great porch to sit outside and relax on. The cabin has an amazing bathroom with a large jet tub, extra sleeping areas in the upstairs and a little living room. There is a small grocery store (with limited hours) and is about a 30 min drive to the Dead Sea spas. The owner was great and recommended some great hikes for us while we were there. Next time we plan to spend more than 2 days here for sure! Easily our favorite hotel out of the entire vacation.

"Not convenient- bring groceries!"

6.0

I missed small print: 20 min from Dead Sea! The cabin itself was great room for a family, but nothing was close for activities or eating. Had equipment for cooking, but I hadn't planned meals--I don't cook on vacation :-) At the far South end of Sea- unless going to Eilat- not convenient. Also- in a gatted area- couldn't get out morn we left, had to wait for someone else to come.

"An excellent alternative to traditional hotels"

10.0

We decided to stay at the Belfer's in order to feel what was to be in a moshav (agricultural community). It ended up being an excellent decision. Although we just stayed there for a few hours (we arrived in the evening and left in the morning the next day), we enjoyed the hospitality of the owner, who welcomed us with dates from her own palm trees in spite of the late hour. The cabin is very nice, well equipped, comfortable and very clean. She has pride on her property and it shows. The location was a little bit difficult to find but she helped us over the phone. It is totally off the beaten path but it is at a convenient distance from Massada and the Dead Sea. I hope some day we could go back and spend more time there.

"Splendida sistemazione"

10.0

"SL in St Louis"

8.0

Fantastic place to stay but a 45 -60 minute drive to everything - - Masada, Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea Beach. It was my kids favorite "hotel" but we were in the car a lot driving back and forth.

"Comfortable, Affordable, and Great Service"

8.0

We arrived very late at night -- around 1am -- and Michal was very kind and accommodating (we had given her a heads up). The cabin was very comfortable and more than met our expectations. I should have checked the map better before I booked because the drive from Jerusalem was long and not well lit at night, but I would definitely stay here again in the future.
