Calypso Villas Zakynthos

Excellent place in a quite and relaxing site..Quite and almost private beach 1 minute walk from the Villa and above average taverns nearby.

This is our second stay at the Calypso villas and it was as wonderful as we remembered it from 3 years ago. We stayed in Villa Clio which is beautifully decorated and has a large balcony with excellent views. The location is quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. The village has some excellent family tavernas & a small supermarket for essentials. The hosts are lovely, can organise trips & they clean the villa daily. The gardens are well kept and have sun loungers, a hammock and inflatables to use in the sea which Is a few steps away. There is a small cove with shallow water, which is ideal for young children and a small sandy beach. The town of Alykanas is a short drive away for a more lively evening out. I would recommend hiring a car as there are some wonderful places to visit on the island.

The apartment was clean and had all that we needed for the days we were there. It was beautifully decorated and we felt like we had a little house of our own. The staff were very helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. The beach was easy to get to and the water was calm and great to swim in. As it was the end of the season there were not many shops open and the closest shop was a 10 minute drive away. I would definitely go there again.

A wonderful place to stay in Amoudi. We stayed in Villa Cleo which is beautifully furnished with excellent facilities and was spotlessly clean. With a setting right next to the beach, the crystal clear waters are a short walk through the villas gardens, which have a number of sun loungers surrounded by palm trees. The villa was quiet and the location peaceful. A short walk to the local supermarket and a couple of tavernas. Katerina is a wonderful host and welcomed us to Calyso Villas with a bottle of wine and fresh Greek pastry. Overall all Calypso is the perfect place for a relaxing break on a beautiful Island. Very much looking forward to returning.

Perfect villa for a quiet getaway. Well equipped villa. Directly in front of its private beach area. Lovely care taker and host. Recommended some really nice restaurants around Zakynthos. Would definitely return to this charm.

What a fantastic experience we had and everything was perfect from the location to the room, the staff and everything it had to offer. A fabulous holI say and I would wholly recommend it.

We booked the 3 bedroom villa at Calypso and it was absolutely perfect for us. We loved the room, there was plenty of space for all 6 of us, the courtyard and sitting area was huge, the day beds and hammock overlooking the water were the most relaxing spots I could ever imagine. I found it exceptionally good value and our whole family loved Ammoudi beach and the nearby Ammoudi Taverna. Having spent the two weeks prior touring Croatia Islands and then the Amalfi Coast, this stay blew them both away. The water is nicer, the view is better, the nearby restaurants are better, we loved it. It was a wonderful stay and one of the best holidays I've ever had. Katarina the owner was immensely helpful and the whole experience was the most relaxing and enjoyable holiday I've ever had. The beach is especially good for families with younger children, pre teen, as they can safely run around in the beautiful crystal clear water that aren't too deep for 100 metres plus. I couldn't rate this stay more highly, everything went perfectly and we could have easily stayed longer it was so relaxing.

Myself- almost 60 and three children aged 16 to 26 all agreed that this was our favourite place when we recently hold aged in Santorini, Amalfi, Portarini and Menorca. The beach really was at the end of the garden. The beach had clear, calm water and soft wine sand. A few tourists but mainly Greek families. There were a number of Tavernas 10 meters from the sand with beautiful and healthy food. Moreover the family that ran the nearest Taverna were gentle, competent and lovely. As for Calypso Villas, it was the one place I would return to and I had splurged on a couple of really expensive 5 star boutique hotels during our trip Very comfortable, spacious, elegant rooms. Very gracious and warm staff. You felt like a welcomed visitor, rather than another tourist to maybe exploit.

This place is amazing, the beach is perfectly beautiful, the sea view is very remarkable, the room decor is very top notch. Also, the owner and staff are very nice and friendly. Finally, restaurants in the area are very good. If you fancy a pub or disco night, Alykes is very close.
