San Marco Hotel & Casino

This was my first trip to Curaçao, and the location of San Marco was absolutely perfect! We didn’t rent a car and relied on public transportation, which was easy since the hotel is just a five-minute walk from both bus stops that take you all over the island. Restaurants and shopping are right nearby, offering plenty of variety—you could eat at a different place every day for a week! Plus, it’s only a two-minute walk to the iconic Queen Emma Bridge. Our room was super clean, and we booked one with a balcony. As a light sleeper, I did hear some noise from outside at night, but it wasn’t a big issue. Next time, I plan to bring my kids and will book a room without windows to minimize any outside sounds. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely return!

Location is excellent, hotel is run down, air con can’t be turned off, no breakfast

The staff at the front desk was very helpful and polite. Only suggestion would be to have microwaves in the rooms for ease of convenience.

I only stayed here 1 night, it was in the perfect location to site see, shops and restaurants. The hotel was nice, room was clean. Just a basic room nothing fancy but it was fine for me. The only issue it was rather noisy from the street noice at night and then first thing in the morning. So pack ear plugs I would book here again

The experience of dealing with staff was problematic. This is the first time in my husband and I, 32 years of marriage we ever had to argue with maid service. Here are the list of problems. *The room cards constantly failed. *We got a phone call at 1am in the morning waking us up, because the front desk thought we should not be there although we checked in the prior day. We thought it was fraudulent front desk call, so I hung up, then proceeded to call the front desk to confirm the phone call but no numbers were listed for the front desk or emergency information, so fearing for our safety we waited until the morning to leave the room. When we told the front desk what happened they made it seemed it was no big deal, I guess our safety didn’t matter. *Check out is 11am in the morning, we told the front desk at 10:50am we went shopping so we should be ready to leave the room at 11:15am, her reply was check out is 11 and the place is full so she can’t wait until 11:15am. We went to our room to finish packing, on the way to our room we passed 5 empty rooms being cleaned. The worse was at 11:05 the maid service knocked on our door and told us we have to leave it’s passed our time, I informed her I spoke with the front desk already and we are packing to leave. Then at 11:10 the maid showed up again and insisted that we leave which was very upsetting, told her again I already spoke to the front desk and if she has a problem speak with the front desk. We left at 11:20am

Everything was as I expected.
