El Dorado Motel

It was a all around safely hazard, electrical outlets exposed, hair dryer started smoking, mattresses were very uncomfortable, tv didn't work...

the trash in the bathroom hadn't been emptied and it looked like there was a used adult diaper in there. I used the bath mat to dry up water in the main room from my boots and the mat came up solid black. the floor was filthy. The walls were paper thin and even though I only shared a room with one other unit I could hear them talking very clearly all night. Somehow there was a road immediately in front of AND behind my unit and traffic went up and down them all night long too. The heater in the room couldn't keep up and the room was cold my whole stay.

The non-smoking family room is right next to the office and smells like a smoke. Has awkward design, with a wall between the beds, makes each section too small. It lacks cool pictures of European cities that other rooms have. Switched to room with sofa bed that looked nicer though sofa was not as comfortable and smelled better. No breakfast, but the town is close and has good coffee and food places.

Bathrooms, fresh paint and better drains in showers.

The motel was sorta ran down needed to be updated.

Heater broken, so we were given a space heater. Sofa full of stains. Floors sticky. Hair dryer broken. A woman leaned on our door and cried for 15 minutes, then argued with her partner loudly. Front desk wouldn't answer phone so no one was there to deal with the situation. We had to call the police, who did nothing, of course, once they heard it was the El Dorado Motel.

It was a perfect and convenient location for an overnight stay to visit family.
