Liz and Cayla were the best bartenders I ever had!!! Definitely my favorite. The place is nice and clean and they are always so kind. Great food! I suggest the fries and wings.

"A terrible wedding experience at the Hope Hotel"

My best friend got married here this past weekend (8/30) and we had a terrible experience from start to finish. When we arrived we had been promised two connecting double rooms (2 queen beds) by the event coordinator Caprice who continued to fail us as the weekend continued. We were instead given two doubles that weren't connecting. We were told that two connecting double rooms weren't available because housekeeping left without cleaning a second double room, and that they normally will leave whether all the needed rooms are clean or not. We needed the connecting because we were going to be getting ready there for the wedding. Stephanie at the front desk worked so hard for us to get our rooms worked out. She did her best and got us two connecting singles and they brought rollaway beds. There was no space for those beds so we ended up having to move the furniture ourselves to make space for the rollaway bed and we then had to move them to the hallway in the morning so we'd have getting ready space. We also had to fix the bride's mom, brother and fiancee's rooms because they weren't correct either. We were moved into our two doubles the second night but the bathroom was disgusting. The food they provided for the rehearsal dinner was not good at all. The only things I would even consider eating again was the mashed potatoes and the bbq chicken. The "brisket" did not look nor taste good. The food provided for the wedding dinner also wasn't good either. The "prime rib" was like leather, my teen said the chicken was nasty and it was apparently missing the sauce it was supposed to have. The chicken tenders were good. The sides were fine as well. During the process of getting the rooms set up and ready for my best friends wedding, Phil in the events department showed us what an MVP he was. Anything and everything we needed that he could help us with he did. Phil made sure that we were taken care of and he deserves all the accolades for how amazingly he did. We had him move the whole room to make the dance floor bigger. He had to add extra tables that Caprice did not include on the diagram she sent him, even though they were provided to her. Saturday started with a bang as well. We went to the breakfast buffet first thing in the morning only to find that there was no buffet. We were told that there weren't going to be enough people to warrant a buffet so they were just taking orders individually and bringing us plates of food. Come to find out Linda, the very awesome lady in Packy's was there by herself and doing everything. I want to recognize how fantastically she did. We came down as a group of 6 and had two more people join us and another 3 tables came in after us and she brought everyone's food while it was hot and it was all correct. For her being so understaffed she did a fantastic job. Moving forward in the day the bride was previously told that because she selected the buffet there would be no one there to serve the food. So the mother of the bride and the aunts were planning to have to serve the food, luckily the bride's wedding coordinator (who doesn't work for the hotel) was able to ask the stuff who was there if they could serve and they didn't understand why they were being asked since of course they would serve after finishing serving the appetizers. There was also a huge snafu with the time of the ceremony which meant that all of the food was very late being served, cocktail hour wasn't ready so people were just standing around and the whole program had to be adjusted to accomodate and Caprice was very rude each time that we saw her that day to get help with the things going wrong or that weren't correct. There was also an issue with payment for our rooms which we are still trying to figure out and get resolved. I won't speak about the issues with the contract or the changes the "coordinator" made which weren't previously discussed since the bride will be making her own review but these were some of the biggest things that I experienced and I don't want to make this too much longer. We spoke with some of the staff about some of the issues we were experiencing and none of them were surprised because apparently this kind of stuff happens all the time which to me seems completely unacceptable. I would never recommend anyone stay at this hotel or book any sort of event there.

Hotel is definitely dated. The elevator seemed to have trouble closing at times and gave a rough ride. In the room the toilet seat would not stay up fue to hitting counter. The bed was uncomfortable and a noise constantly coming from downstairs made it hard to sleep. Not sure why this got a good rating

Nice facility. I felt well treated. Only bad side was dining options at Packy's. Beer taps were out of service and the menu was very limited.
