The breakfast was consistently good and offered a pleasant start to each day. Most of the staff were courteous and professional, though a couple gave the impression that they were doing guests a favour rather than providing service—which detracted from the overall experience. That said, I’d like to commend the receptionist at the Flair Hotel next to the convention centre on the day I was supposed to have checked in at that branch. He stood out for his helpfulness and professionalism, and was a bright spot in an otherwise uneven service experience.

I booked the Flair Hotel specifically because of its proximity to the convention centre where I was attending a major conference. Unfortunately, just hours before the event began, I was informed that I had been moved to their second location—much farther from the venue—due to a "system glitch" that caused overbooking. This last-minute change disrupted my plans of easy accessibility tom conference venue The inconvenience was compounded by unreliable taxi arrangements. On Day 1, I had requested a cab for 6:35 pm, but the staff mistakenly booked it for 7:00 pm without informing me. As a result, I missed my plenary session. The whole point of choosing this hotel was to walk to the venue at my convenience, which was no longer possible. Some of the cab drivers arranged by the hotel were unprofessional—rude and aggressive—and on one occasion, the staff attempted to squeeze four guests into a single cab. It felt poorly managed and chaotic. The room itself had issues too. The toilet consistently failed to flush properly, leaving it looking used even after multiple attempts. I reported this to a staff member, but nothing was done. A day before I checked out, I was offered extra biscuits and sweets, which felt like a superficial gesture given the stress and disappointment I experienced. Overall, this was one of the most frustrating and unpleasant hotel stays I’ve had. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves both their booking systems and guest services.
