JR Hotels Oriente Bari

Nice and modern. We enjoy a variety of hotels at many star levels but it was nice to be in really modern one. We also enjoyed all the modern shops- almost like being in Beverly Hills. Old Town is a short walk (for us elderly folk it was about 40 minutes as we have to stop and rest a lot). Old town is a photographer's dream. Loads of souvenir shops and we did the Rickshaw ride with Lolu Tours which is well worth the money especially when you are too tired to walk.

Breakfasts. The variety was great but I guess we who come from bacon and eggs territory like our scrambled eggs to be hot or even very warm. Also bacon shouldn't sit in its own fat, it gets kind of watery instead of being slightly dry and crispy. But we loved the pineapple juice and the variety of fruit. After 6 weeks in Europe we are tired of breads, croissants, pizza and crispy bread sandwiches every day - we crave salads and fruits. We like bread etc but not every day!

Lage des Hotels

Wir haben ein ruhiges Zimmer in den Innenhof gebucht. Erhalten haben wir ein Zimmer im 5. Stock wo die Wasserpumpen von der Rooftop Bar extrem laut gelaufen sind. Wir sind dann in ein ruhigeres Zimmer umgezogen. Das war dann ok. Warum nicht gleich?

The staff were, without exception, helpful, friendly, courteous and professional. The room was a suite, so had ample comfortable seating and table space. The room was clean and maintained each day without any fuss or disturbance. The bathroom facilites were excellent, and included both a bath and powerful shower. Bathrobes and slippers were provided, along with an essential room safe. The hotel location was excellent -- conveniently placed for the rail station, and equally close to the departure location for coach excursions. The breakfasts were good.

There was little to dislike and any criticisms are minor. Perhaps a wider selection of cheese at breakfast and a broader choice of hot breafast items.

Chambre peu lumineuse, donnant sur l’intérieur. Chambre assez vieille, moquette au sol. Ne mérite pas un 4 étoiles

Hotel magnifique idéalement situé proche gare de la vieille ville de la plage et de tous les lieux d’intérêts. Chambre très propre de qualité et literie très confortable. Personnel accueillant et aux petits soins. Petit déjeuner délicieux varié avec des produits locaux
