Matuka Lodge

We had such a lovely, relaxing time at Matuka Lodge. Luxury accommodation with a family vibe, so friendly and welcoming. Everything was wonderful, highly recommend this gem!

Guy was a wonderful host, made a great fruitcake. The honor bar was nice after a day of riding bicycle. A convenient location to the Alps to Ocean cycle trail with very clean accommodations and a great breakfast.

A great foundation for the nearby Mount Cook area as well as adjacent to the Pelennor Fields battle scene from LOTR The Return of the King. Delicious breakfast, easy parking, very clean, lovely area and spacious extremely comfortable rooms. Six stars!

A lovely place, the rooms are beautiful and well maintained, our room was on the banks of a small lake with a great view, Mel, the landlady, is nice and makes every effort to make you feel good.Very recommended!!

Rooms too close together and poor sound quality. Keep awake from heater in next door bathroom.

Breakfast menu covered the usual items, with additional cereal, fruit, yoghurt, juice. We enjoyed the shared table experience with other guests.

While initially, I expected tea facilities to be in room, the alternative of a shared tea room with homemade fruit cake and biscuits plus, was great.

Lovely rooms overlooking duck pond with Mount cook views. Very friendly host. Delicious breakfast. Great lounge with cake cookies and fruit all day. A first class operation
