Hotel Krone Thun

Es war einfach perfekt!

Honestly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Great staff, excellent room with free upgrade. Unlimited Tea and coffee facilities on each floor. Immaculately clean room. Personallised printed welcome leaflet with my name and suggestions of where to go. There was a noisy atmosphere outside the room due to FC Thun winning the league for the first time in their history but staff made it basically unnoticeable. Couldn’t speak highly enough.

Plumbing problem: pop-up plug in basin defective,apparently in all rooms according to handyman.

We just had 3 absolutely wonderful days in the beautiful Swiss town of Thun. We chose this hotel because the reviews were good and it overlooks the old town square. We were not disappointed. The town is very picturesque, and handily serviced by the excellent railway. Interlaken and the Jungfrau region 20 mins by rail one direction and the capital Bern 20 mins the other way. There are so many lovely walks and sights in this town. The room was very quiet when the window was closed - we had no noise disturbance from inside or out. The hotel staff here are amazing, so helpful and friendly - you are made to feel most welcome. The hotel and our room was spotlessly clean. There is use of a coffee machine on each floor also. We also had the good fortune of being in the town on the day the football team won the Swiss league for the first time, the reception team left ear plugs out at reception - such a lovely thought - we chose to go outside and join the party - to spend the evening with the Thun residents was such a delight - warm and friendly people who are rightly proud of their city and their football team - we will never forget our time here - thank you Hotel Krone and thank you Thun

Absolutely amazing experience from start the moment we were warmly welcomed at reception. We requested a quiet room, and our room was completely silent at night. It faced the square, but the area is quiet in the evenings. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room layout was brilliant and we really liked the lighting and the hammam shower, which was a fun experience. The staff we encountered throughout our stay were warm and kind. The location is perfect. Cental and walkable to everything. A ten minute walk from the station. The tea and coffee bar is a brilliant little breakout room that you can go and relax in, and the coffee was great quality. This hotel really exceeded out expectations.

Not a thing to dislike about this place, we had an amazing stay.

Das Design der Zimmer, der Etagen und des Empfangs ist echt in die Jahre gekommen. Es wirkt kalt, unfreundlich und uninspiriert. Es strahlt null Wärme aus. Sehr kalt.
