Stonehenge Farmhouse

Isolation and used by people with the same outlook!

Not that I didn’t like but would have hope for some other items in the room? Chair, Desk?

This was my second time staying at the Stonehenge Farmhouse; my first stay was in a dormitory room, but this time, as it was my son and I, and he's still weirded out by the idea of hostel stays, it was great that Stonehenge Hostel could accommodate us in a semi-private room (despite the ubiquitous bunk beds that filled it). We had a perfect view of the garden from our room (one of the male pheasants liked to chatter from the path every morning). The chance to walk the Rare Breeds Far, (which I missed on my first stay) was wonderful! Definitely a huge plus.

The mattresses were... what they were. Eventually we ended up stacking two together for my son's bony back pain. I was not very happy with the fact that there was a "men's bathroom and a men's/women's bathroom" and then further down the hall just a "bathroom" but no dedicated women's bathroom labeled as such. (Though, since they are all single person-at-a-time access, why are they gender labeled at all?)

Comfortable, helpfull staff, nice location. Nice kitchen..large lounge.
