Had to boil the kettle five times; first boil produced a mucus‑like residue, and I later found an insect in one of the cups. Staff were apologetic but management absent. For £89, the room standard was poor; though breakfast was good quality.

No ability to vary heating in the room so was opressively hot. Hot water for bath/shower didn't come through for AGES and it felt like a waste of water

I liked the town.

Never met the staff.My key was just left on a table. I had to ask the odd job man where my room was.It was so dirty that I couldn't use the bathroom and decided to give the breakfast a miss because everything was so disgusting.

Lovely old coaching Inn building. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean. Decent breakfast. Excellent value for money - Travelodge prices. Lovely old bar area.
