Great breakfast, friendly staff

Had to retune the TV to get it to work :-)

Staff very welcoming, lovely breakfast, everything was super clean, parking space.

Shower; no power at all and warmish water. Far from city centre.

Great location. Beautiful property. Friendly helpful staff.

We could not turn off the bathroom light

Everything!!! Lovely converted house (I think) that had such a warm homely feel to it. Got a lovely welcome when we arrived, Sally (the host) told us about some nice places to eat nearby. Not to far from Derry centre but we had a car so can’t comment on how to get there with public transport. Our room was small but cosy & did what we needed for the night stay- clean room, bedding, towels & a comfy bed not sure what else you want tbh. Now let’s talk about the breakfast!!!! WOW is the best way to sum it up. I am a fussy eater & normally don’t do breakfast in hotels but it was hard to be fussy with the selection available. Different meats, cheese, fruits, yoghurts to name just a few, then you got offered a cooked breakfast again lots of options available. It was just bang on how we asked for it & was about delicious.

The smallest critique ever & it wasn’t really an issue was the shower in our room wasn’t the most powerful. More than enough for a general shower but my hair is quite thick & would have taken ages to wash. SAYING THAT - there is another bathroom on the landing which I think we may been able to use so I could of tried that but I didn’t need to wash my hair so just had a shower. It was warm enough & powerful enough to shower in.

Bed comfortable, pillows hard.

One egg with breakfast, did not offer an Irish breakfast to us but did to people who came in after us. So we didn’t get offered potatoes, I asked for bacon and sausage but only bacon served. Just maybe a lack of attention to detail.

We were greeted by host Heinz who was friendly and had great knowledge of the local area Beautiful old home with pretty gardens Our room had old-world charm and pleasantly decorated, high ceilings etc. Bathroom a but dated but functional, plenty of hot water for a good shower. Comfy beds Breakfast was really good with hot and cold options, cooked to order by Heinz We took an evening walk along the river to the old church and stone tower - history abounds!

Stairway up to room/ doorways at the top a little tricky to navigate, when hauling a heavy suitcase - take care Dog barking until after midnight (where it was I could not tell) hopefully just a one-off occurrence

The breakfast was excellent, there was a wide choice of cereals, cheeses etc and a full cooked breakfast. The staff and hosts were very friendly and very helpful, there were several places to eat close by which were within walking distance.

The full Irish breakfast complete with fresh fruit and good strong enough coffee was most enjoyable.

One small thing - we couldn't find the outlet for the lamp so we placed it high next to the tv and could plug it in then.
