The room

No breakfast served although the destination says the opposite. Some really treacherous steps to negotiate. The bathroom needs some repairs:- Toilet doesn't stop flushing every so often. Basin plug doesn't lift far enough. Crack in basin.

Love the 4 post bed and plenty of tea and coffee

Parking was a little bit tight due to building vans and a skip but they will be gone soon

The location was very near to the centre of Bowness, an easy walk.

Steps to the coach house room were tricky to negotiate.

Good location and comfortable bed.

That would be more helpful if there were a fridge in the room.

An attractive looking house, It had everything we needed in a great location at a fair price. Nice garden at the front with tables to sit.

As an old building it had its quirks and imperfections; the only ones worth noting were the stiff door lock (I have arthritis in my thumbs which was difficult) the black which came out of the bath taps, the very cantankerous toilet cistern which was noisy and sometimes the water ran continuously (eventually I got the knack and was able to stop it) and the bathroom door which wouldn’t stay shut and was very creaky when it opened by itself. Again, I stuffed the information folder under it to keep it closed. If these issues were either resolved or mentioned - the scores would have been even higher.

The house is very characterful and homely. We were sad to leave
