Murcott Mill Farmhouse

Hosts very friendly and helpful, and when they realised I hadn't got a car, drove me to the station to catch my train home. When I arrived in Long Buckby, I discovered that Murcott Mill was some 2 miles from the station along unlit country roads in the dark and that there is no taxi in the village. I got a lift from another passenger with a pre-booked taxi to a neighbouring village who offered to divert an drop me off. It might be valuable to warn people staying at Murcott in advance, give them a taxi tel no and suggest they pre-book a taxi to meet them at the station.

We only needed bed as were at Silverstone for the Grand Prix . Extremely friendly host, bedroom was comfortable, en-suite adequate. Very quiet location.

Beautiful quiet location but a long walk or 5 min drive to the local pub (which was excellent) and convenience store. The mill was very easy to find as signposts were prevalent. Breakfast had many different options and Carrie, the owner, was happy to accommodate requests. She even offered my wife and I a lift to the village pub. A bit disappointed that there were many flies around but it didn't diminish the stay. Would definitely stay again.

Difficult to find in the dark and entrance not clearly marked. Clean tidy and comfortable great breakfast

Nice clean rural b&b. Very accomodating host/hostess who allowed a quick turn around as we were going to a wedding. Good hearty breakfast available at a flexible time. Would recomend driving instead due to its rural location. Loads of parking. Slept like a log
