East Lyn House

The house is in a great location. The outside patio is lovely but due to the wet weather we could only use it once.

Everything was very nice

My husband and I loved everything. From the moment we arrived, the hosts, Steve and Lorna, were friendly, polite, and welcoming and helped with taking luggage to our room. Steve guided us as we parked up on arrival and had to reverse into the parking spot. Was shown around the property. We were given a key to use for our room and the front door. Mentioned we could use the lounges and outside seating area at our leasure. There was a good choice for breakfast, which the cooked consisted of sausage, bacon, mushroom, tomato, beans, eggs cooked of your choice, toast, or continental, fresh fruit salad, tea, coffee, juices, orange or apple, the food was delicious and always served with a smile. All of the guests were always addressed by their first names. Our room was a nice size and had a view of the river and the sea, in the distance, from a side window. The bed was very comfortable. There was a portable air conditioning unit in the room, which was much needed due to the weather being so warm. Tea and coffee making facilities. Fresh bottle of water every day. The property was always clean and fresh smelling. Our on-suite bathroom light wasn't working on arrival but was quickly fixed. The view of the river from the outside seating area was absolutely amazing. We found the sound of the river flowing, relaxing. Such a beautiful area, with lovely walks and Lynmouth itself, is a lovely place. We used the cliff railway to go to the top and explore Lynton. Took a walk along Valley of the rocks. Spotted a few goats along the way, high up on the rocks. Stunning place. We stayed for 3 nights and had time to explore all that was on offer of the area. There was no need to use the car, which was parked up for the duration of our stay. There is free parking at the property. We really enjoyed our stay, as it is a very special place and will most definitely return in the future.

Can honestly say there was nothing we didn't like.

Limited choice but plentiful and beautifully cooked.

Great breakfast all that we needed was there ,nice area to sit down. Steve and Lorna created a nice atmosphere.
