Villa Coloniale Schumacher Luxury Retreat, Adults Only

If you expect a flawless experience, this is not the place. If you can live with less, its a beautiful tiny boutique hotel, with an very charming ambient. I believe in the best of people, and i believe they will learn from this, so i give them 7/10.

Its such a pitty the experience we had at this wonderful place that have the potential to be top notch, but simply couldnt deliverer the top service one would expect. The crew was so kind and the cleaners so great. BUT, we had an unfortunate situation. Or let me say, 4 unfortunate experiences, 4 days in a row. I do not really usually complain or give bad reviews. However, i was stunned by the fact that the villa reached out to me to ask me up front, if we had requirements around food, and then consistently delivered wrong, every single day. We ask for lactose free for me, and we do not eat pork. Every single day, they brought pork. Every single day, they excused, then did the same thing, every day until we left. At a certain point, i thought after 4 days, that now it must be un purpose. I mean for 4 days you are telling the same crew, the same thing. And still, they being pork to the table, they even gave me twice normal milk in my porridge. Also we didnt get any other meats, they simply didnt do the effort to replace it with chicken, or similar. Not great guys.

Loved the feel and our room was so spacious. Pool and grounds lovely and delicious breakfast.

Rooms were extremely small for what you paid for, otherwise a lovely quiet boutique hotel

Excellent - fresh fruit, pastries, fresh juice, continental and cooked options. Always outside if weather permits, but inside is beautiful too. An honesty bar and lounge area were a bonus, plus laundry. Private individual suites with garden area.

Beautiful property, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. We ate at two of the recommended restaurants and they were delicious. A good way to experience the Constantia area and neighborhood.

Everything was excellent and as expected.
