Tir-y-Coed Country House

Peaceful country house in a pretty village. Made to feel very welcome by Sandra (the owner). Very well presented breakfast using excellent local produce. Home made granola bar in the room is to die for.

Wonderful hostess, facilities, and breakfast. She made last-minute dinner reservations for us at the pub in the village, handled a late-night aperitif at the small bar before retiring, and prepared a lovely breakfast. Finished with a walk in the garden before departing. Internet was intermittent, apparently not unknown as she restarted the modem several times.

Quiet countryside location in beautiful setting with picturesque garden. Property ideal location for exploring north wales and we enjoyed a cycle from the house to Bodnant gardens- just under an hour away as a bit hilly. Evening meals are not served only breakfast but we enjoyed a delicious meal at the Groes Inn within walking distance. Breakfast was plentiful, well cooked and accommodating. Sandra the host was pleasant, helpful and informative of the area and of places to visit. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay with Sandra and Chris. They were very welcoming and friendly. Their B&B is first class and beautifully appointed. Sandra was very helpful in suggesting things to do and sharing knowledge on local restaurants etc and even booking them for us. Tir-y-Coed is surrounded by trees, has ample parking, and you see lots of birds at the feeders through the window as you eat a lovely breakfast. A bonus is that the village pub, a proper pub, is five minutes walk away. We would definitely return if we came back to the area.

Lovely setting. Beautiful house. Everything you needed. Very comfortable. The host was friendly and accommodating. Delicious breakfast. I highly recommend it.

Garden setting is restful, owner Sandra was warm and welcoming, very helpful. Food excellent, breakfast-time music well chosen, decor pleasing and interesting. Easy walk to pub for dinner, location convenient to area attractions.
