Viaggio Urbano

Booked 2 rooms as we were a party of 7 - including 4 kiddos. Hotel was great, very clean, great customer service and most importantly a great breakfast buffet. Hotel was super helpful in arranging airport pickup for everyone - the service was prompt and the driver was super nice. We have actually used the driver's service a couple of times as prices were fair and security is always a concern in a new city. Finally - location is great! 15 minutes away by taxi to the major museums and tourist attractions.

The unit was falling apart, no air conditioning and the shower curtain did not fit the shower - water went all over the floor The laminate flooring was falling apart. there was a stove, fridge and sink but not cook ware - question why have a stove.

There are so many options in this price range in Bogota that this just isn't a good choice. First the good—staff is incredibly nice and helpful and the breakfast is very good. Now the not so good—location is terrible. The hotel is on a hill, a steep walk down to the Cra 7, a major thoroughfare across Bogotá. It's not an easy walk down the hill as there isn't a sidewalk the whole way. Furthermore, there's really nothing along this section of the 7th. You'll need to take a taxi or Uber for evening meals. Worse still, there is a major road across from the hotel so it's really noisy at all hours. My room was kind of strange for a business traveler. I had a kitchenette and a small dining table but no desk to work comfortably. The bed was really, really hard (beyond firm). Infrastructure is kind of old—furniture and decor a bit depressing.

Great location for restaurants, people watching, shopping, public transit. I wouldn’t recommend night time travel on foot, but overall pleased with my stay. The room required some renovations (minor water damage, poor paint job) and a personal thermostat (it was cold). With ample linen, I was able to combat some of the cold with my stay. The staff were friendly, respectful and engaged (even with my limited understanding of espanol). I will recommend utilizing Uber; you will save more money.

Very dissapointing experience. Staff were very diligent and gently. Breakfast was nice and clean room. But it was noisy because near from a main street. Not at all as photos show it and also no courtains so day light awakes you. Dissapointing experience

This hotel was walking distance from where I was working. It isn't 5-star but the rooms are a good size, and clean. A little funky. Julian at front desk is great, and other staff also very good. It is a little noisy - being close to the main road. They do seem to have significantly tied down internet for some reason that may make it unsuitable for business (e.g. VPN access)

This was a great hotel to stay at to attend a conference at the Universidad Javeriana. Affordably priced, very close to the university, decent-size rooms with in-room sinks, fridges, and private bathrooms. Included breakfast was good too--lots of variety. Only down side was the fact that the elevator only goes up to the 8th floor, and my room was on the 9th (top) floor. The biggest asset of Viaggio Urbano, however, was the __AMAZING CONCIERGE JULIAN__. He was great for normal concierge stuff (help organizing transportation and recommending restaurants, etc), but he really went the extra mile to help me troubleshoot my very complicated visit to Bogota. During my visit i was a pumping breastmilk for my 3-month old daughter back at home, and finding a place to freeze the ice packs I needed to use to cool the milk I pumped during the days I was at the conference I attended at the university and for the flight home proved to be _incredibly_ difficult. He arranged for me to store the ice packs in the hotel restaurant's freezer and made sure I had access to them in the mornings when I needed them (when he wasn't working the front desk). The breastmilk pumping situation is obviously pretty unique, but it speaks to Julian's overall helpfulness (which he volunteers generously) and is a huge selling point for this hotel.

Excellent value. Good restaurant on site. Helpful staff.
