breakfest was alright .cleaner than my house.st

we stayed two nights so we left our pops and waters in fridge. came back second night everything gone plus my wife left her very expensive pillow on bed,GONE ALSO .went to front desk don't know any thing about items taken from room .better find wife's pillow or you buy us a new one .fair enough.

Most of the fitness room worked. Non-carb hot breakfast items available. Front desk was pleasant and competent. Good room size with the sofa and coffee table. My inspection made it likely no bedbugs. Key worked well. All the standard motel stuff stocked and in place. It was Christmas season. I thought the foyer was rather pleasantly decorated. Didn't try the pool area but a couple mothers and their kids seemed to enjoy it. It appeared maintained.

There wasn't much around the immediate location but it is a small city and driving is the universal culture. I could do a nitpick list that there was one hair in the shower, maybe a tiny bit of mold at one spot missed by a paint-over, a bit of wear showing in the physical room itself in general, but, honestly, it was a solid competent stay where things worked. The area south of Fargo spreading west is a bit of a horror show in accommodations and I suspect the Baymont is THE place you want. I did a 100+ mile RT from the Baymont into ND to attend my afternoon event rather than stay locally in or near that town.

Location is perfect. Beds were very comfortable. breakfast good.

Not clean enough for me. Room could have used a deep cleaning. Bathroom corners were dirty and contained hair from previous guests. Yuck! Furniture was worn and could have used an upgrade. Bath faucet was difficult to regulate. This property has deteriorated since the last time I stayed. Since one management team seems to have a monopoly on decent hotels in Wahpeton, they dont seem to care. I wish I had another choice for my occasional visits. The Mom and Pop hotel over in Rothsay is much cleaner than this.
