Afroessa Hotel by Caldera Houses

Great location, Amazing views, Excellent Service.

Great, small, family run hotel at the best location on the Caldera of Santorini. With only 10 rooms you're really a guest, a very personal approach. Top service and a very kind and helpful staff. The views from this hotel are stunning. It's a quiet place and still near all necessary facilities. Thank you Mrs. Ioanna and staff for making our 25th wedding anniversary unforgettable.

Great stay. No complaints

This was a great little place. The staff was super friendly, and they were just finishing up repainting everything. The room was small but it was in an old arched wine storage area. They give you a fridge and sink so I guess you could make your own meals. They also bring room service right to your balcony which is really nice. Another review said this hotel had a view of the caldera. Technically true, but the island in the center of the caldera is around the corner. It's actually higher than Fia, which makes the walk there really nice.

A warm welcome even on our late arrival, a glass of wine and even though the resturant had closed we were able to enjoy a lovely dinner. Our room was lovely and the view, stunning. the pool area was lovely plenty of loungers and towels for use either at the pool or beach. The food was lovely, the service excellent. Mary helped us arrange a couple of trips, even looking at the weather forecast. We had a wonderful time at this a very special hotel a credit to Joanna and her wonderful staff. To end a question, does Eddie ever sleep?

The experience was nothing short of excellent! Ioanna and the entire staff were very hospitable, and more than accommodating to changes in schedule, especially with feeding us outside of their normal hours (the food was excellent).

Five-star hotels could take lessons from the staff at the Afroessa Hotel for the quality of service and professionalism. Extraordinary efforts were made to facilitate our needs and to make the stay in Santorini warm, welcoming, and special. The location of the hotel on the island (in Imerovigli) is central enough to get to the more crowded areas of Fira or Oia easily, but has enough good local Imerovigli restaurants within walking distance as nearby options for eating. The hotel is on several levels of a hillside and the views looking west are spectacular and memorable. As we learned after a unpleasantly overcrowded sunset viewing from the streets of Oia, the balcony of the rooms at the Afroessa offer superior views in a much more appealing setting. It would be hard to find a more wonderful hotel and hard to find a hotel to recommend more highly.

The view of the caldera is amazing and it's lovely to sit out each morning on your balcony and enjoy breakfast whilst looking across the islands. Well worth eating at least one evening meal at the hotel (the food in excellent). Like all hotels in Imerovigli, there's a lot of stairs, so please consider this before booking :)

Very nice hotel with Great view. We are staying at Unit4 with a perfect view. The room is very clean. The bed is comfortable. The wiFI is fast. We like everything in this hotel. The breakfast in hotel is super yummy. The Gentleman there is very kind. Unfortunately we did not catch his name. He prepares the breakfast for us and he also helps us with our luggage and he even takes photos for us when he saw we were taking pictures. He is very helpful and friendly.
