Beamish Park Hotel

We booked this hotel to celebrate our 58th wedding anniversary as we wanted to visit Beamish Museum. Only 10 minutes away but located in beautiful countryside this hotel is excellent in every aspect. Located adjacent to a golf course it is very quiet and set back off the road. Reception checked us in and gave us room 37 which was located on the upper floor at the rear of the hotel which and exactly what we requested! The room itself which was spacious and very modern was equipped with all the necessary facilities including wi fi, coffee and tea making, toiletries, hair drier, safe etc. the large bed was very comfortable and nice towels were provided in the bathroom. Shower pressure was low but adequate with plenty of hot water! Food in this hotel which is served in the Bistro is really excellent along with the service. Breakfast comprised of the usual self service cereals, fruit, juices, pastries etc along with the wide choice of cooked items ordered at your table….ladies serving were really nice and efficient! Dinner was also excellent and the brisket is superb again served by a very friendly and efficient staff. Prices are reasonable too! All in all this is a great hotel with very competitive pricing and excellent parking…give it a try but maybe check that their are no weddings on your required dates as I imagine it could be very busy! To all the staff well done!!!

I would recommend this hotel to everyone my son got married here just this weekend and it was so amazing everything was perfect the staff were fantastic our room was beautiful comfortable beds such a wonderful place to be anytime I wish we could do it all over again great service felt proud and privileged to be here to celebrate our son and daughter in law marriage With family and friends also the staff are absolutely amazing not forgetting the star DJ.The staff are very warm and friendly and welcoming too thanks to Paul and Claire & very cthe whole team for a great fantastic weekend of fun love and laughter such an outstanding service will never forget this great experience ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The staff were very helpful. There was a problem with the internet so I moved rooms. I needed a cable to charge my phone, again they found a suitable one. Breakfast was good. A taxi was booked for me too.

It was a very nice stay with good food and car parked right outside room

The bed was ok and the bedding was clean. There was plenty of storage and the TV worked.

The bedroom smelt of smoke, which was very upsetting. The room needed redecoration, the bathroom door was marked and splashed. The worst aspect was the lack of soundproofing between the rooms - there was a party of young men in the room above us who were very drunk and were shouting until 2.30 am, then again from 7 in the morning, making it impossible to sleep. When we arrived at the hotel the room next to reception was set out for a wedding - but we had to walk through the wedding room to get to our room, which we thought was a bit strange . We asked the receptionist if there was going to be wedding at the hotel the next day, because we thought if there was we would leave our room before the wedding started and would return after the celebrations were over. But the receptionist said categorically that there wouldn't be a wedding! When we complained about the rowdy behaviour of the young men the next morning to the receptionist on duty the next day - she said 'oh that was the lads having a stag do before their wedding here today'. So, given the lies from the first receptionist, the lack of sleep overnight on the Friday we decided that we couldn't stay for the second night when there would be more noise from the wedding party and another very disturbed night. This was a very expensive stay in a 'family run' hotel who clearly have little concern for the comfort of their guests.

Everything was perfect. I have been before and know that I will enjoy the vacation
