Rich Resort Beachside Hotel

Matt is an amazing concierge, very professional. He helped us with a scooter and organized tours around the island. He made our stay memorable.

Although Rich Resort great in the photos which can been found online, buyer be where that these we obviously taken when the hotel was first built. The number of sun beds has decreased dramatically from the photos and it is not a “beachside resort” as the photos also depict. The pool and beach are managed separately from the hotel and since its connected to a restaurant you are not allowed outside beverages or food on the beach or near the pool. This includes bottled water? Being from Canada this is extremely backwards for me because you aren’t allowed to even charge for water in a restaurant. Other then this small bait and switch, the resort is good for the budget traveller who needs some time out to crowed dorms. The rooms are clean and bed sheets obviously washed daily. I would recommend staying here, but the ads online need some updating and clarification.

Great location for Lamai Beach and the shops and bars. Nice small pool and on the beach. The food is a bit pricey, but as it’s on the beach you can’t really complain. The room was nice but only had 1 plug and no external windows. Toiletries and towels supplied. They looked after our luggage after we checked out.

The restaurant across the way is overpriced & not great. Otherwise this place is an awesome deal right on the beach!

The room was cheap but we have had rooms that have been cheaper and have been a lot nicer... the room was dark and smelled like damp. It was quite spacious though. The fan made a clicking noise. The pool was dirty and I wouldn’t recommend anyone going in it. The location was good as it was a short walk from bars/restaurants.

The room was nice .Internet was fast.We stayed there for 3 days.it closed to the Lamai beach you just need to walk through the restaurant The atmosphere there was very nice. But only some people came back from full moon party late .It was noisy there I could heard people talking from outside the room.

I am a 18 year resident of Thailand and travel a lot. Rich Resort is by far and away the best value for money I have ever stayed in, it competes easily with resorts 5x the price. The rooms are spacious, spotless and can be either fan or AC, I found that fan is more than adequate ( up to the individual). Cross a small Soi (25m) and you are on the Beach with pool. The staff speak perfect English and are a joy to deal with; the manager has time to speak with you and make suggestions. The Resort has a roof deck (not completed yet but easily usable) 5 floors up where you have panoramic ocean views, take a drink and some nibblies, it doesn't get better than this.Enjoy.

The Rich Resort was amazing, comfy and clean room, clean bathroom with hot shower. Nice size fridge was provided. Very nice warm pool next to the bar and restaurant, with beanbag loungers. The hotel is right on the beach where guests can use the beach loungers. It's perfectly located, you can hear the sea very well from my room and it's in very short walking distance of the main street where there's good food if you want something different from restaurant.

loved the room i stayed in everything was good apart from the resteraunt accross the road. doesnt have much thai food. But hotel was brilliant. Great location right on the beach. Staff were really helpful, staying again next year.

+ 30 second walk to beach + pool area clean + quiet at night even though close to bars and restaurants + 7/11 up the road + able to rent motorbikes for 200B + able to have room cleaned and fresh towels daily - pool area small, not many sun beds - construction work next door to pool (should of been informed before we booked as not relaxing sat next to drilling all day)
