Super friendly staff Beautiful views Big cozy room Tasty drinks The perfect place to escape from Big City life. Having the free shuttle to The beach lets you have the best of both worlds. A busier scene with more bars, restaurants and shopping. while having a peaceful and quiet place to retreat back to in the Cliffs. Will definitely be back.

Idle Awhile at the Cliffs is a lovely spot on the planet. Quiet and peaceful. Comfortable room and extremely pleasant staff. Jen and Sandy were especially helpful (names shortened because I have no clue how to spell their full names correctly). Chefs were very nice as well. Great folks! Breakfasts by the pool and ocean were wonderful! The beach (there's a daily shuttle to and from Idle Awhile at the Beach) was terrific as well! Beautiful property! Great staff! It's a wonderful place to go and relax. Best of all, since it's not all-inclusive, one is likely to take a cab and sample the wonderful local restaurants. The only reason that I did not give the property a 5 for cleanliness is that an open coconut was still in the fridge...just overlooked by the cleaning staff. The room was lovely. Regarding the facilities, they're great as well. Beautiful setting. Clean. Just not what a spoiled American might expect. For my wife and I, everything was perfect for our vacation!

To many mosquitoes and hotel just so so. Staff leaves at night, plan to have what you need or just go get it your self. Such as water or food.

Really nice staff who were unobtrusive and friendly. This place is a good hideout for relaxing, and is also very secure. You need a car though, as it is a little bit out of the way. Driving in Jamaica is easy, so don't be afraid of that prospect! Food was good, drinks were strong, pool was clean and refreshing, and the sunsets are WAY better than Rick's Café, not kidding. Go there and chill.

We decided to visit Jamaica at the last minute. We went with this hotel because they had a shuttle to their sister hotel at the beach which let us have both beach and cliff world. It worked out perfectly for us. There was snorkeling when the water was calm at the cliffs and the staff could not have been friendlier. the restaurant/food service was very personal and the chef was excellent. At the beach location we took advantage of hotel security and the staff's assistance in beach activities through the locals they knew and trusted. All in all I would return there without question. The guests we met were also neighborly and very helpful.

Nice off the beaten path location. Little inconvenient to get back to town…yet that is a benefit . Watch dogs were barking ( noticed it more at first then only a little bit ) in the night. It gave a feeling of security as no one was going to get Past those dogs. And they were super friendly to guests , plus you wouldn't know they were there in less you look for them.

I was extremely happy to see that the accommodations were exactly the way it was shown on the website. No unpleasant surprises. The chef "Moto" was great, willing to do whatever he could to make sure we were satisfied. The grounds are well kept. We were sorry we had to leave.

This resort was wonderful. We went during down season, so there were only a handful of other couples there, but the chef and bartender were still fantastic and available all day, and it made our stay particularly peaceful. The cliffs resort is located on the far end of the Negril cliffs, but the hotel staff were super helpful about getting us a shuttle or cab every time we wanted to go into town, and they ran a daily free shuttle service over to their location on the beach. The resort grounds were beautiful and well maintained, the view of the ocean was gorgeous, and our room was spacious and well kept. I would recommend the location to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet getaway.

Our stay was amazing! Our room was right by the ocean so we were greeted with a breathtaking view of a Negril sunset when we arrived. The staff members were fantastic. They helped my bf surprise me with a birthday dinner oceanside and really went above and beyond to create that special moment for us. Rakesha and Jenora were some of the staff members who assisted us during our stay. The only thing that we didn't like was that many ants quickly appear in the kitchen for the smallest crumb, grain of rice or drop of juice on the counter. We suggest to be careful not to leave food on the counter unattended for any length of time and clean up any crumbs/spills immediately. We loved it there and hope to return someday.
