"relaxing place. "

8.0

Fabulous surroundings, a bit out but close enough to the airport and very close to night safari and the Royal Flora. The Night Safari is excellent, we loved every minute of it. It was suggested to us by the staff at the hotel and they drove us there and pick us up afterwards. The staff are just lovely, they can't do enough for us. The location is far, but it is more than compensated with the peace surroundings.

"Great hotel to connect with Nature"

10.0

It was really a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Narittaya. The staff is very helpful, the cottages are nice with lot of open space. The coattages are not clusttered giving privacy to each guest. The resort has been well maintained and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Must visit for one who wants to connect with nature and relax.

"Eco-friendly, great food"

8.0

The Narittaya was our second stop after a retreat in the mountains. Scenary-wise, the first resort in the mountains was more lush, breath-taking but we were won over by the organic herb and food gardens here, all of which is used in the cooking. Food is local fusion and delightfully tasty. Most impressive is the thought given to the newly-designed kitchen - energy-efficient layout, bins for individual recycling, composting, mostly-glass windows so it is airy and clean. Kudos to Terry and team. This is one kitchen that you can peek into and smile. Breakfast buffet options are smaller than large hotels but sufficient and love the egg-on-the-spot option. It is a good 30-45 mins into the city but we were here for a retreat so going to the city was not a rush. Taxis can be booked from the hotel so that's easy. A gem is the spa resort - do go for the complementary Chi Nei Tsang with Hitomi. It is an-hour-or-so-long session to remove energy blockages from your body, so it can be painful and revealing of certain trapped emotions inside you. If you are open to this, Hitomi will explain the process and results carefully. We enjoyed our stay.

"Artisan Organic Food from a garden Spa"

10.0

Need a break from over-spicy food, pollution and the best spa my wife and I have ever experienced? Narritaya was our key to happiness after 4 weeks in Thailand. Yes, it is a bit out of the way from the tourist area of Chiang Mai, but we traveled in or out, as needed. The staff treats it like a Ritz Carlton with attentive personalized service and take care of every little detail. Everything from the food to the shampoo, soaps and teas are made from scratch with herbs and items from the garden grounds. They do all the little things right and can help you with anything. They packed me breakfast to go when we left for early morning tours. My wife said it was the best massage and facial she had ever had in her life (she is a spa pro). If you a spa-lover, yoga-enthusiast or just want attentive relaxation and fresh food, this should be your place of stay. I cannot say enough good things. Many thanks, Narritaya!

"Loved Every Minute"

10.0

My husband and I found the four day stay so enjoyable it was hard to leave. The manager Pisit , chef Teddy and his wife Lita made our time special. The Executive one bedroom villa with pool was so beautiful. The water was a bit cool but after biking the country roads and hills with the resort's bycycles it was refreshing. Gardens are everywhere growing vegetables, herbs and trees. The open restaurant overlookssome of the terraced gardens. Breakfast was a la carte but every morning we started with capps, regular coffee, fresh fruit with yogurt, honey and almonds, granola and a choice of egg and salad or a vegetarian dish. Every morning there was a variety of homemade jams and bread. We needed to stay the four nights to try each dish on the lunch and dinner menus. We took a taxi into Chiang Mai one afternoon for the Sunday walking street market. It was 30 minutes...not a problem. Spa was very professional as well. Ready to return.

"Lovely hotel in set in beautiful gardens"

10.0

The Narittaya Resort and Spa is set in beautiful peaceful surroundings about 20 minutes from Chiang Mai airport. Nothing is too much trouble for chef Teddy & his wife Leta. We don't have children but there are huge grounds for kids to run around. The meals were amazing & Teddy will cater for any dietary requirements. A lot of the produce for the restaurant is grown on site in the gardens. Teddy also picked us up at the airport. Leta is organiser extraordinaire. Also used the spa for the best foot massage and facial treatment I've had ever. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you. Leta organised a taxi whenever we needed to go into town and back as well as tours to The Golden Triangle and Doi Intanon. The rooms are mostly individual cottages set through out the groundsso no worries about noisy neighbours next door.

"A Little piece of Paradise"

10.0

This is the second time we have stayed at the Baan Deva Montra, and the resort was as we remembered it fron six years ago. The room we stayed in was wheelchair friendly and anything we needed help with, the staff were there to help. The Manager (Po) remembered us fron our first stay and was a great host. He spoke good English, and was a credit to the resort. The resort is 12km from Chiang Mai city centre and we hired a car (1000baht per day if you haggle) or a taxi fare 200-300baht each way, arrange with your out going driver to pick you up, drivers in the City were asking 500baht for the return journey. Lots to see around Chiang Mai, Walking Street (Anusarn Market), Night Safari, Tiger Kingdom, Horse and buggey ride around the temple ruins (lots of them) start from Chediliem Temple. We will definately stay here again, as Chiang Mai is one of the cheapest places we have found in Thailand. A great stay and a beautiful location. Thankyou Baan Deva Montra and all of the staff, with special thanks to Po (the place wouldn't be the same without you).
