Good Location

Our experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. When we arrived, Felicity repeatedly claimed that our booking was not showing in their system, despite it having been made well in advance. It quickly became apparent that the room simply wasn't ready for check-in. To make matters worse, the access code provided in our booking confirmation did not work for the key boxes. Rather than acknowledging the issue, Felicity spoke to us in a dismissive and condescending manner, despite the problems clearly originating on the property's side. The entire interaction left us feeling as though we were being gaslighted. At times, it even felt like we were being treated differently based on our background. When we reported the situation to Booking.com, Felicity told support that we had arrived before check-in time. This was completely untrue. We arrived well after 5:00 PM. Unfortunately, because we were travelling with children and had nowhere practical to relocate to at night, we felt pressured to stay. In hindsight, that was a mistake. Throughout our stay, the shower frequently ran cold, and the heater repeatedly switched itself off. Given that temperatures were around 0–4°C during our visit, this made the accommodation particularly uncomfortable. The most disappointing part is that the property itself has a lot of potential. However, poor management, lack of accountability, and misleading communication significantly impacted our stay. We cannot recommend this accommodation based on our experience.

I hadn't realised on booking that our room would be adjoining to another giving very little privacy

Our stay was thoroughly relaxing, highlighted by a spacious room featuring several excellent, thoughtful touches. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable.

The property is located in a rural setting and even located on main road the apartment is well insulated and noise level inside is very minor. Close to both Arrowtown and Queenstown with easy access to both locations. The apartment ( one of four) being part of the original home was well presented, clean,comfortable with a well equiped kitchenette. Car parking a few steps from our door.

Location & it was warm.

It obviously hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived, dead bugs, dishwasher full of dirty dishes, no electric blanket on the main double bed (eventually found out in a cupboard but had to completely strip the bed & remake it to put it on), the shower was dirty with mould & grime around the drain & bottom of the shower. Paid for the property well before my stay but they owners couldn’t find it (even though it was communicated to them numerous times & proof provided). Never saw owners & had no idea how to get towels, facecloths, toilet paper etc until I went into the laundry & a cupboard was unlocked so helped myself. Looked out the window of our bedroom & just saw a junk pile of old fridges etc.

Very spacious full suite of rooms in a restored vintage homestead with stylish modern furniture and decor, with plenty of parking and welcoming, large, usable garden lounging areas. Full kitchen, lots of light. Well-functioning heating units, including lovely underfloor heating in the bathroom. Easy check-in. Conveniently located on a main connecting countryside road between Arrowtown and Queenstown.

Heaters were off and room was ice-cold when we arrived. Nespresso machine and plunger pot available, but no coffee provided until requested of host. Soap dispenser on bathroom sink was empty but replaced upon request; cleanliness was below expectations. Both the bed and pillows were quite tired but acceptable. For the price, we would have expected these basics to be "givens."

Views were amazing from the room.
