Sea view, very helpful staff, restaurant ok- there are better restaurants in the area.

A one night stop, but well worth it. Amazing view, lovely service, tranquil surroundings. It's a shame there are no TV channels in either English or French, especially for the children.

Excellent location - up on the hill overlooking the water with an easy drive into town. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Great value for the money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting staying anywhere near Trieste.

The hotel is nice and charming; has amazing view and access to the beach - which is very nice - however, it is a bit off the city center. Room size was good, but bed is not very comfortable. Additionally, I don't think the room saw a vacuum cleaner in a while.

Hotel Riviera is a gorgeous old fashioned, elegant hotel in a panoramic location. The rooms are bright and cheerful and spacious with a stunning view of the gulf of Trieste and the turrets of the Hapsburg's Castle Miramare in the distance. Meals are served on the terrace overlooking the sea. The hotel has a terrace or lido which you can access by lift and enjoy a sun lounger and swim in the Adriatic which is carefully supervised by lifeguards.

we were surprised by the quality of this hotel on our way from Trieste to Venice. the rooms are spacious and very tastefully finished, at this time brand-new. we would have stayed anther night to enjoy it if we could. the restaurant was forgettable and we should have paid more attention to prices while ordering. notwithstanding the dinner, a great experience overall.

Excellent boutique hotel for families, couples and others. Great view of the Adriatic from rooms, hotel's expansive patios and beautiful gardens. The front desk particularly, other staff in general were courteous and helpful. The only criticism about the hotel would be directed at shortage of staff at restaurant during meal times. Two waiters for 20 - 25 tables could not cope with requests from diners resulting in very long waits. Breakfast room was no different. When coffee ran out, guests either waited for about 25 minutes for replanishment or simply gave up. Only one wait person was in attendance. Suggest the hotel bring in "reinforcements" when it is full with guests, in order to maintain its otherwise stellar standing.

We arrived at the end of a tiring journey and went to a room with a balcony and a fabulous view of the Adriatic. The dinner was splendid too.
