Property needs updating Do not like barbed wire fence between pool and beach!

First time in Barbados and was impressed with this hotel . Great location beside St Lawrence Gap which is full of restaurants and bars - opposite Worthing square and close to supermarkets/shops. Up the road from Oistins and Bridgetown. Regular transport to anywhere on the island on the doorstep of the hotel (the minibuses are a fun experience and cost just 3.50 BD) Room very spacious and nice relaxing pool area with access to the beach which was great for an early morning swim. The staff are a credit to the hotel, all three staff members we met at reception were friendly, kind, helpful when we had queries and wanted to know how our stay was. If I was to return to Barbados wouldn’t hesitate to say here again !

Very nice, quiet and clean resort. We had a pleasant stay in April, definitely recommend this resort.

Location and room overlooking the sea. Wonderful to listen to the sound of he waves whilst lying in bed. For night time activity it was only a short walk to St Lawrence whilst the promenade and Bridgetown were in easy reach going the other way.

Coral Sands is a nice property with big rooms, great beds and quiet after 10 pm. The band next door stopped at 10. The hotel is on the south shore and the ocean can get rough. We did have problems with lots of Sargasum seaweed. One negative was the fence and barbwire around the back and pool. Made it look like a prison.

Everything was fine and the staff was very helpful 💯☺️☺️☺️

We have stayed at the Coral Sands for MANY years, and have generally been very pleased with the rooms, location, service, etc. But I have to say that the public areas of the hotel have suffered in recent years. During COVID a hideous barbed wire fence was installed overlooking the sea, giving a feeing of a concentration camp. Then the whole area was denuded of its beautiful palm trees, making it even uglier. No other nearby resort is treeless. Anyone staying by the pool will be turned off by this. Then a huge plexiglass screen was placed at the reception desk, reminding me of a pawn shop. Someone is making very bad decisions, and I worry that the deterioration will continue.

The hotel was well situated and within a short walk to the Gap. It was tidy and our room was quite large with a well equipped kitchen. The staff were very helpful and courteous.

It would have been nice to have several restaurants closer to the hotel. There were very few places to go for breakfast or lunch. The beach was lovely but we couldn’t walk any distance along the beach. A central hub of shops and restaurants close to the hotel would have been nice.
