Red Frog Beach Island Resort

The people that run the Red Frog resort are extremely friendly and accommodatable … when you have a staff as friendly and nice as the Red Frog staff, the whole experience just becomes that much better … we plan on going back very soon and we recommended to all of our friends

A wonderful resort. I cannot say enough about how well I have been treated! You would think I was a celebrity. The staff and management have been very helpful and friendly. They have gone out of their way to schedule boat tours for me and respond immediately to any request I have had. The island has a lot of wildlife and I've seen many birds, monkeys, sloths and red frogs! The property is beautiful and well manicured great for walking. The spa services were fantastic. I look forward to returning next year!

This place is a dream. The room was amazing, the shuttle service around the property and the staff was perfect. The beach is gorgeous. We had a private pool that was cold and in the shade most of the time, so we spent more time in the beach club and the ocean. I would caution you that this resort is in the middle of nowhere. Bring cash for tips (no ATMs on the island), and definitely any medications you might need. I got a cold on the plane and there is no pharmacy anywhere nearby…the front desk managed to get me some lozenges about 10 hours after I asked, but no decongestant. There is a tiny store on the property but very little in it. The main town is $10 a person one way by water taxi, which makes getting decongestant very pricey. Also, there was only one restaurant open on the property. There are supposed to be four in the vicinity, but there were only two: the La Rosa beach club and Palmar (on the public beach). Fortunately both were very good, and we enjoyed eating the same excellent seared ahi night after night. When we left there was a discrepancy between the room charge and the hotels.com receipt, so they had to figure that out and it took some time, but they fixed it. The guy at the desk and all the staff really went above and beyond.

Great stay and they did everything to make our stay better even though Americans or Canadians from hell destroyed the first days with there trailer park white trash wedding. Thank you Maurio and your great staff! 🙏❤️

Great stay!

We loved this place! The staff are kind and nice. We saw lots of cool wildlife. Our 3 bedroom villa was beautiful. It was about a 10 minute walk to the beautiful beach. There’s only one restaurant on the property and limited restaurants on the island. We enjoyed our time!

The place is amassing but even more amazing are the people, from Ana, to Sergio, Mario, Jose, Enrique, and practically everyone we encountered, they were all great the hospitality is second to none from all the places I have stayed at. The beaches are amazing; great food, great accommodations, nothing in this place is disappointing; everything is perfect. I will always stay here every time I return.
