"Simple and clean"

The hotel is near a JR station, about 10 min. walking. The room was clean and has a bathroom inside. There's no elevator. There's a laundry and a lot of places to eat and convenience stores near. The owner was very helpful and tried to explain about the touristic places, even her english is not very good. I recommend and I would stay there again if I go to Kyoto.

"Acceptable Hotel"

There is no elevator. The beds are not very comfortable but the room is clean with bathroom inside. There is air conditioned. It is about 7 minutes from the Tambaguchi train station and about 12 minutes from Kyoto Station, so, the location is OK. The price is good for Japan.

"good place for kyoto but little spaces"

perfect position (3/4 bus stops from railway station, good for going north to gold pavillon) owner speaks perfect english (not so easy in japan) but try to convince you not to go to osaka and stay more nights in kyoto, something I am not agree with. rooms are clean, a.c. is working. toilet very little but ok. rooms little as well.

"A friendly place of good value"

a kind and very helpful owner/receptionist, who speaks good english; conventient location near bus stop and kyoto station; rooms tidy, but a little run-down, with tiny bathrooms; efficient air-conditioning; very steep stairs, no elevator; very reasonable prices; residential neighbourhood, quiet and easy going; a recommendable place of good value
