Beautiful location

Although it was lovely to see the sheep grazing in the neighbouring field, the bells on the rams beneath our window kept us up most of the night. Adding to this, the very warm weather and no air conditioning ment we had to keep our window open overnight.

What a lovely building and great location. Comfortable rooms and gorgeous surroundings.

Communication was a little abrupt when we had an issue beforehand but resolved on arrival.

Too cramped-then settee was so close to the second bed that we couldn’t sit on it. The curtains were left open and with such large windows the room was warmer than the outside temperature-far too hot to be comfortable. There was a plug in fan but too ineffectual to cool the room sufficiently.Whilst tea making facilities were in the room-it lacked a fridge for cold drinks etc.

The bed was uncomfortable

Modern room in the context of green fields; main house is set in lovely garden with small outdoor pool. Staff didn't mind our eating our own breakfast in the garden. Comfortable bed and clean room, with tea bags, instant coffee and a kettle.

Staff onsite only at check-in time. Room wasn't serviced/bed wasn't made on day 2. We knew there was no breakfast service, but expected more from the onsite coffee (£4 from a machine) and croissants (packed in plastic, in vending machine, £3). The motorway wasn't visible, but was audible from our room.

Friendly receptionist. Nice clean room with great shower room. Lovely parkland setting.

A hotel breakfast option would have been nice. Not keen on the vending machine.
