Hotel Krystal

The has been some effort to renovate the hotel but this has terminated ininterriors of the SOME rooms. You may be lucky enough to book a renovated room but the rest of the place is at least 25 years old, with apparent luck of maintenance. Balconies terrible and without any view (most of them) Breakfast poor too. Is well situated but overall try to find another place to stay in the beautiful city of SItia, Crete

We visited this hotel in July. We were impressed from the excellent service, which is really the strong point of the hotel. Very polite personnel, a real cretan hospitality ! Our room was newly renovated. The breakfast buffet offered a very good variety of dishes. We got much more than we expected, for the price paid. We really recommend it.

We spent 4 nights in Krystal. Our room was large,shortly renovated and very nicely furnished. The hotel is situated not far from the beach (5 min walk), the port, supermarkets and restaurants were all in max.10 minutes walking distance. We could always find a parking space (free) not far from the hotel. The breakfast was served downstairs and was really okay. But the best part of the hotel is the staff. REALLY nice and friendly people who make you feel like at home. All in all we enjoyed our stay and recommend the hotel.

Tried to stay there for 1 week but stayed for 1 full day!! Lets start with the room: it was very small even for a single person(we were 2). It had 2 single beds instead of a double I requested. The bathroom was even smaller, with poor water pressure. The best part was that it had 2 lamps, The one was off, and the other one was like a candle!! The balcony needs renovation. You could see the rust so don't lean! The view from the 3rd floor is good over the other rooftops so here goes the romance too.. No private parking if you have a car like me. Last but not least is the brekafast:terrible with one word. Very poor with few variety. Hope you find honey or hazzelnut if you stay, cause I didn't. It has also good points. The one is the staff which is polite and helpful and the other is the situation of the hotel. Right in the center of the town making it practically near everything. Hope my experience was a warning to you all! p.s. Do find a better one like Flisvos Hotel nearby.

This hotel was very conveinent for us. We got there a little late due to no directions printed out. It is down the center over by the restraunts. Best way to get there is drive to the waterfountain. Turn left, once you reach the harbor, and go straight to the next round about. When you get there, turn left again and it's two blocks up. We missed it twice due to the rain and my navigator sleeping. Once we parked to check in, they said to stop by the front and honk the horn. Once I did that, they came out and made a parking spot for us. Very nice. Gave great ideas for restruants. Room was small, bathroom even smaller and the heater didn't heat the room very well. No closure for the tub so water was everywhere when you take a shower. Had to pay 15 euro for the lamp that we broke, but the hotel staff was nice about it and didn't give us any trouble. The room we stayed in we could hear kids moving around and playing and an old lady yelling a lot. But after a while, we were able to zone them out and have our alone time...

The Hotel is centrally situated in a fairly quiet street, handy to shops and restaurants. Hotel staff are helpful, speak good english and arranged a taxi to take us to the airport in the morning. Our room was basicly decorated but tasteful furnishings had been used. The bathroom worked to a satisfactory level. A nice feature of our room was the view of the harbour from private terrace where one could enjoy a snack and drink at a table provided. I can recommend this hotel for an ecconomical and comfortable stay in Sitea a town with few tourists and a lovely waterfront.

It is few meters from the sea, and the center of sitia. Rooms and clean and comfy. Only problem was that water pressure was low in 4th floor. Price was 60 for a double room when I stayed. It's fine for sitia, but after staying for 30 euros per night in south of crete, one wonders why anyone would go north. Well my advice is: don't go to sitia, but if you do, this is a good hotel to stay.

Discreto Hotel proprio in centro a Sitia. Ottima la pulizia e discrete le camere Consigliabile per soggiorni non molto pretensivi. Brekfast accettabile

We stayed one night at Krystal in July 2011. Hotel staff was friendly, told us a good beach tip (Itanos about 1 km from too busy Vai beach). Room was good, but small. We had great view from the balgony on the 4th floor room. Street parking in the front of the hotel was full, so we had to park on the general parking place quite far from the hotel. Breakfast was typical greek: only white bread, cheese and jelly. There were many restaurants in the short walking distance.

We had a pleasant room on the top floor with a small balcony which gave views out over the (scruffy) rooftops to the harbour beyond. In March, we didn't have any issues with noise at night. The management made space for us to park just outside, but this could be tricky if there were more tourists about, as streets are very narrow and often one-way. I think there is a big car park a few hundred metres away. Excellent breakfast including eggs, fresh bread, preserves etc. and plenty of tea coffe and orange juice. We booked through Venere and paid 35 euros for a double with breakfast. Sitia struck us as a pleasant ordinary seaside town off-season, and at the end of March there were a few eateries open to choose from.
