Hotel Port Dinorwic

After initial mix up and discovering restaurant is not open during the Winter (Booking.com says it is!), the management worked hard to make my stay enjoyable. I was ugraded from a room to an apartment and they made sure they opened the kitchens for me to provide a (truly excellent) cooked breakfast each day! The apartment had self catering facilties, so - with the help of local takeaways - I was well catered for and very comfortable with wonderful views from the balcony down the Menai straits. All in all very comfrtable and good value - a bit sorry to leave if I'm honest!

Last minute booking for 13 work colleagues to trek up Snowdonia. Perfect location for this as only 12 minute drive away from where we were starting from. This is a quaint family run hotel and everyone bent over backwards for us, even made us packed lunches to take with us. Great choice of rooms, spacious apartments and the beds were really comfortable. A little dated but clean. We loved the indoor pool with sauna. Views from the hotel are beautiful, we were lucky as we had blue skies and could see for miles. Great cooked breakfast and continental selection and a separate comfortable bar area. The two local restaurants we tried served really good food too. Gardffon Inn and La Marina, would recommend both but book ahead as both were busy. I received praise by my senior manager for finding such a great place for us all. Would definitely book again!

Staff were so friendly that you felt like family. Room had wonderful view along the Menai straight. Breakfast was superb (didn’t have a hard egg all week) Great base for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey

Have been coming here for over 10 years it is a beautiful spot. Mandy is amazing it is a family run business and as a lone woman traveler I feel very safe and at home in this lovely hotel which is full of character.

On arrival was put in a room out of the hotel. There was no option of drinks at the bar. The hotel inside needs a clean and smells. There was only an hand full of people staying there. The pool was covered over. The hotel needs a total refurb.

Brilliant hotel with an even better view. The staff are very accommodating and will do anything for you. The rooms are lovely and homely. The location is fab- close to lovely restaurants, walks and is very handy for those wishing to climb Snowdon. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!!

Great hotel with a superb view over the Port Dinorwic Marina. Lovely breakfast which provided us fuel for a gruelling walk up Mount snowdon! The owner made us feel very welcomed on arrival, with a nice ice cold peroni.

I've stayed here a few times and I can honestly say it's a really nice hotel with super friendly staff, comfy beds and great sea views! All the rooms are clean and comfortable, a little dated, but they are always working on improving the hotel. the hotel is in a great location with plenty to do nearby and loads of room for parking. It's family run so really friendly and helpful staff, they really do go above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable stay. I would recommend friends or family to stay here and it's helping support a small local business over the big chains.

Very friendly hotel with amazing staff who couldn't do enough for you.We stayed here whilst visiting Zip World and this was an ideal base. Our room had a beautiful view over the Menai Straits.The rooms and decor are in need of an update but that was not an issue as we had a brilliant nights sleep. Breakfast and pool are also great.100% would stay again.

After a not so waterproof tent incident at a nearby campsite, the rest of our holiday looked grim. We ended up staying at here after seeing the decent reviews. It lived up to some of the high praise! Really friendly family run place with lots of activities within short driving distance. Breakfast was perfect and service was warm and friendly, nothing was too much! Only niggle was some the decor, a little outdated but on the whole it kind of added to the warm and friendly feel! We’ll definitely be revisiting in the future
