Don Giovanni Hotel

Very nice hotel in old-style, clean, silent, nature around & views, large rooms, large pool, kind staff.

Good location, caring staff and lovely environment

Very basic amenities, not at the level of 4*, clearly overpriced. Outdoor pool didn't operate, however it was not written anywhere. Zero soundproof let one live the life of each and every person there. The place accomodated a party with live music until very late night during our stay, we felt like trying to have a rest in the middle of the night club, iit was literally painful.

Although stated on booking.com, the pool wasn’t open in May.

It was extremely difficult to find the right entrance as there were no signs from the car park. We wandered around the courtyard and outside as there was no-one about. Eventually a lady appeared and showed us to our room but it seemed completely deserted otherwise. Clear signs are needed from the car park to reception which is on the opposite side of the building. Later in the afternoon, more people appeared and there was to be a christening the next day so we were told there was no restaurant or food available that evening. So we had to drive back into Sambucca to get a meal. This was not notified to us before we arrived.

No restaurant food available. Breakfast next day on sunny terrace and excellent spread available. The swimming pool looked reasonably clean but the kiddies pool next to it contained green, dirty water. However it was the end of October so I expect they were not being used any longer.

Loved the location out in the countryside. The staff was first rate. The hotel did something special forv our 47th anniversary and the staff seemed to enjoy putting the event together.

The hotel advertises it has spa facilities which we would have liked to use but it was closed.
