very clean private front desk secretary was not fully aware of policies. my package included free breakfast. even though i showed it to her in writing she denied free breakfast. i was able to get free breakfast after talking to the chef overall place is beautiful

Pros- the house and grounds are pretty. It is VERY quiet and if you are looking to get away then this is the place for you. The location is a bit of the beaten track but in a five minute drive you are at the beach or at the famous Sharkie’s restaurant. But you don’t even have to go that to far for great food. If the breakfast is anything to go by, the food is well done and delicious. And the staff is friendly and accommodating. Cons- the villa advertises beach access but the beach is a 20 min walk or a five minute drive away. The walls are a bit thin but if you have considerate neighbors it shouldn’t be problem. The rooms are outdated and could use some nicer furniture. Everything is functional, but this place is not living up to it potential. That being said, if you want a reasonable-priced getaway, a more “Jamaican” experience than an all-inclusive has to offer, then consider Villa Sonate...
Very much enjoyed 5 nights at this small hotel in the hills above Runaway Bay. We chose the half board plan and the meals were excellent. Convenient to the beach and Ocho Rios. Would stay again.
My husband and I wanted to get away from the busy city of Kingston. I was looking for somewhere quiet and found Villa Sonate. And saw its review. All I can say is that , it was all it said to be and much more. Breakfast was amazing and so was the staff especially Andre and the security. We will most definately be back. And would recommend this Villa to anyone. Our only set back which was truly minor , was that the hot water at times failed us. But other than that. FANTASTIC. FANTASTIC.
