Hampton Inn La Grange

Location ,cleanliness,breakfast,room was cozy.

Hotel smelled like mold/wet.we found mold spots around our window above ac unit.

We typically stay in Hampton Inns because the rooms are clean and good size, with good towels and plenty of electric sockets. At this inn, in addition, the tv service was above average and housekeeping was standard—no request needed. However, the negatives were plenty. First, we couldn’t check in on arrival because the internet was down. Key cards were issued an hour later. Then, it turned out that there was no Wi-Fi, which had apparently been the case for quite a while. Also, all the ice machines had been taken out, which the desk clerk was unaware of so she sent me to look at a bucket in a corner. One machine was finally installed on the third floor the night before we left. At breakfast the first day, when I asked about refilling a food item, the desk clerk said it wasn’t her responsibility and the breakfast attendant was not in the area. I should note that we received nothing resembling an apology for any of the issues, and my request for a credit to compensate for the lack of Wi-Fi and ice was denied. Notably, the email and the invoice itself include the phone number: 0000000000 “Give us a call any time at 000-000-0000.” For us, the Wi-Fi issue was a large inconvenience; I urge anyone who needs to work remotely while traveling not to book a room at this hotel without confirming that the service is available. Although it’s listed as “Free Wi-Fi,” the truth is that it’s included, not free. I still think we’re owed a refund of $25 per night for our inconvenience.

Found a cockroach in our room. The overall facility was old and dirty looking. It did not represent Hilton Hampton Inn. Will not be staying here again. Very disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay! The manager and staff were very friendly and so accommodating. We really appreciated how welcome they made us feel.

This hotel was conveniently located for our travel plans to Gidding and for Round Top antique show. The hotel room was very nice and the staff were very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and a great start to get us going for the day. We will definitely stay here again if our travel is anywhere in this part of Texas!

WiFi wasn’t working, staff didn’t acknowledge until asked

Breakfast was good. Room smelled like mildew. I would have asked for another room if staying longer. Pool has green stuff on the bottom but hot tub was nice. Lobby coffee and cream was low, trash full as clerk looked at her phone. Noon check out was nice.
