"Traveling Moe’s"

The room was very clean and staff very friendly. However, the breakfast was late getting out and not a lot to choose from. Coffee was constantly empty. We felt so sorry for the one worker that was busting her ass getting things set up for breakfast. Do better Marriott, hire more help!

"I was charged twice. Once by booking.com and again after checkout by Marriott"

I pre-paid through booking.com and the hotel charged me a second time. I paid double and marriott stated they have not been paid by booking.com. No breakfast was served even though they advertised breakfast included

"Not Up to Marriott Standards - Avoid Room 208"

Upon arriving late evening, we were given Room 208. At the room, we found the door damaged (splintered with holes around the locking mechanism)Going to the clerk, we informed her of our safety concerns as 2 senior females. Being told it was the only room available, we inquired if other Marriot properties were available, but were told no. They told us we could move to another room the next day as there would be some available. We reluctantly spent the night in Room 208. The next morning we cleared from the room, but could not move to a different room as none had been clean. Casey, at the desk, stored our belongings and said we would be assigned a different room as soon as one was available. When we arrived back later evening, Jennifer told us we haad not been given a room and “the only room available” then was Room 208. We expressed concern about that room, but had no option. Upon arriving at the room, the door was ajar and the room had not even been cleaned, We reported this to Jennifer, who promptly got us clean pool towels This room should be properly repaired before it is rented. This is definitely not up to Marriott standards. Casey failed to follow through in assigning a different room and was not helpful except storing our luggage. At least Jennifer did the best she could. Upon complaining to Marriot we discovered this is a “franchise” hotel, and they control rather than Marriot. The manager, Tonya, told Marriot we had not complained or made any report to the desk., which obviously is incorrect.

"Excellent stay - Townplace Birmingham Suites"

Things I liked about our stay 1. Location. Very quiet, safe; with plenty of parking. I cannot overstate how much we liked the location. On our way to Charlotte, we'd stayed at a Fairfield in Oxford, AL which did not have adequate parking. So, I don't take this for granted. 2. The building itself looked well managed and clean 3. The desk agent was gracious, acknowledged my Bonvoy status (as is the process, but sometimes not executed), offered us water 4. The room was on the highest floor as requested in my profile 5. The breakfast area was spacious, and the food choices were more than adequate Well done!

"This hotel is super clean and the staff is awesome."

This is a very clean hotel. The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful.

Our only complaints are: the shower water does not get hot. It is slightly bit more than a lukewarm temperature. That is a BIG issue for us. We want a HOT shower. There are no garbage bags in some of the garbage cans in the room. Not a big deal about the bags, but we have a medical condition which requires the use of garbage bags daily (if we forget to bring our own) The parking is inadequate if coming back to the hotel late at night. There could have been 2-4 parking spaces opened up if a POD storage unit and recycle bin had not been in the parking lot.
