The Maverick Inn

We stayed here a couple of nights and we loved it. If you enjoy historic properties you will like it. The staff was exceptional, the room nice. We just wish we had been in the area longer

Great Stay in an old Motor Court Motel. Old motor court motel that has been renovated to meet today's standards. It's basic, but the western decor is great and the rooms are comfortable. We had an electrical problem with our room and THREE staff showed up to fix it and were very patient and caring as they made everything right. The 24 hour access lobby is nice for ice, coffee and amenities. A fun place for our stay in Alpine

The AC/mini split did make a funky noise and was a bit annoying, and also did not cool very well. It still got hot throughout the night. we were in room 11.

RAIL Road...but hotel gives you ear PLUGS FREE. Shower. Mold City..nasty. No Heat! Very very small Wood loud...NO Sleep.

Had to pick up key at hotel downtown. Bathroom so small I had to go outside to change my mind. Constant tapping noise -- had to use ear plugs. Room very small. Key pad to lobby area very difficult to operate.

This is a great place to get out of the modern hotel rut. It is a true example of an older West Texas motor inn, in a small Texas college town, updated only as necessary. The owners have overlaid modern service and conveniences onto a motor Inn from the past. Do ask about your room location and street noise if that bothers you, as it is right on the Main Street. If you want a nice, safe interesting change of pace, try it. I’ll be back.
