Staff were happy to help us switch rooms because the room we booked off the pics and a previous stay wasn't what we received. This was rectified after a phone call which we appreciated

Stayed one night pre and one night post a Heron Island holiday, which is forced due to flight and ferry times. The staff are lovely, but the hotel is very dated. They’ve tried to update the bathrooms with a refresh, but the rooms are very dated. Carpets are worn and stained. Window locks are broken. Our first room had 6 broken/not working issues, which I advised on a note on departure and requested a different room for our return in 5 days. To their credit, they upgraded us to a suite for the second stay, but it was only marginally better. I think it’s an appropriate FIFO apartment hotel, but not a tourist or business hotel.

Catered to a convenient stay with the rooms

Not much. All was good. Carpark spaces for disabilities and lift were so good.

On the first night I had issues with thje room positioning, in particular to the tv which wasnt conducive to my neck and back issues. I was transferred into another room the next day after I sent an email and had a comfortable stay for the remaining 3 days.

Building security, the front door didnt shut, anyone could get into the building. When you walk through it didnt automatically shut. Huge fail for the building.
