This is a beautiful hotel at the end of the pedestrian area in Sarlat. The room was clean and spacious, and the pool area was lovely. The proximity to restaurants and shopping is perfect. The only issue is minimal parking availability.
Lovely rooms and perfect location. They could use a small exercise room for light exercise and stretching with foam rollers.
Arrived late as I had missed the bus to Sarlat. The receptionist was so nice, brought me personally to my room. She recommended an excellent restaurant that had late service and assured me I would have a taxi back to the train station. Unfortunately the weather was not conducive to using the pool. However the outside lounge was an enjoyable place to sit in the afternoon for a coffee break. Buffet brrakfast was very complete and fresh. I plan on staying there again next year.

Charming hotel on edge of old city in a particularly good location for access by car and walking to all sights. No parking on site however, parking available in secured location on other side of old city. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The location is quiet. There is a small outdoor pool with adjacent sauna and steam room which is perfect for end of day relaxation after visits. The staff is courteous and helpful.

Returned to this hotel for the second time, it’s a lovely hotel in a great location, having parking in Sarlat is a big plus. The only downside this time was that we arrived in a heatwave and despite us keeping the shutters down the room air conditioning system really couldn’t cope, the room was overheated, although the weather was exceptional any good air con system should have been up to the task but we had 2 nights of not much sleep. Lots of wasps spoiled enjoyment of the pool area. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. We would come back but only in the autumn or spring.

Sarlat is a beautifully preserved Medieval town with great eating and architecture. Plaza Madeleine is a wonderful home base. We will come back.
