Everything was perfect. Only driving by car to the hotel was a challenge, because of the very narrow streets.

It was a lovely and romantic place to stay. The location was central but quiet. The room was luxurious and clean.

The hotel is located very close to the marina and if you choose a sea view room you get a great view of the sea. The streets around the hotel are quite dirty with trash but once you are on the road adjacent to the sea it is clean. I was very disappointed by the stay mainly due to poor service. The cost of the stay was not worth the quality of stay. I have stayed in many luxury, boutique hotels previously and never received a service this poor. Even though Foca is known for its seashore and beaches, the hotel staff did not provide me with the correct information regarding where to go for swimming on the first day. The staff pointed me in the opposite direction away from the good beaches making me waste my first day of stay. Also, the staff gave me inaccurate information about public transportation to Izmir airport and if I had followed it would have missed the flight. Although there is service from Hatundere train station to Izmir airport, it only runs in the morning (up to sometime around 8 am) and evening rush hours (from 5 pm) at least during the time of visit. The staff was told about my travel time but did not warn me that Hatundere was not serviced during that time. The closest station servicing all day is Menemen. I had to find this on my own wasting almost 2 hrs the night before travel. These are services that normal hotels or boutique hotels would have offered to travelers new to the region, but this hotel failed to provide.

We stayed at Bülbül for 4 days in July. It was just wunderful. Beautiful hotel room, quiet surroundings and walking distance to town and the restaurant street. The breakfast was incredible. Very helpful service by all staff members. We would definitely stay at Bülbül again.

Seit fast 40 Jahren komme ich die Türkei doch niemals habe ich ein solch gut geführtes Familien Hotel angetroffen. Alle Wünsche betreffend Essen werden als selbstverständlich erachtet und liebevoll erfüllt. Die Lage des kleinen und feinen Hotels ist einmalig. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt und wir kommen bestimmt wieder denn auch die Umgebung hat seine besonderen Reize.
