Torarica Resort

The staff was super friendly, breakfast was delicious, the overall room, pool and all other amenities were clean. Well ordened.

1. The cleaning staff comes and cleans your room regardless of whether u put the cleaning sign at your door. In my opinion it should be done on customer needs whether they want their room to be clean or not. 2. While cleaning the room the staff took the dirty towels (well done) but forgot to put extra towels in the room...eventually we had no towels at all. Cleaning staff needs to be more attentive.

Dat er niet van te voren duidelijk werd aangegeven dat wij recht op 15% korting hadden bij het ontbijt en overige restaurants omdat wij in het hotel verbleven. Het hotel rekende gewoon het volledige bedrag zonder ons hierop te wijzen totdat er 1 personeelslid hier ons op wees hebben wij de overige dagen wel korting gehad. De eerste dag wilde zij niet herstellen en hebben ze ons het hele dag bedrag verrekend. Teleurstellend want wij waren met 9 personen.

Torarica is a well known hotel, but the money paid is not what you get. Apart from the expensive hote costs , the menu is also a lot of money. The rooms are very very basic. My first two weeks I lodged at Yogh Hospitality and it was exclusive. Torarica has very basic rooms, with many mosquitoes, all the noise in other rooms can be heard. For those rooms they can easily ask 55 usd a day or renovate the entire location. I also don't like Royal Torarica. The only luxurious thing I do like about Torarica is the lobby. Breakfast is also very pricey but once again not all that.

Ontbijt is relatief duur.

Meest bezochte en geboekte resort van Suriname. Het is er altijd druk en vol. Dus ook bij het zwembad. Veel entertainment en dicht bij centrum en straat vol restaurantjes

Drukte

The check-in (Brian) was exceptional. We got a welcoming drink and the employee really explained everything into detail and accompanied us to the room helping with luggage. We loved the pool, the gym and the groupclasses. Definitely recommend.

It was a little confusing whether we had to pay for the sauna/jacuzzi. Since the menus show prices, we initially thought we had to pay. But on the last day, we found out that we could use it for free because of the room we had. I think an app where you can login with your roomnumber/family name where you can book, would be great. The room comes with a coffee machine which works good for coffee but not very good for tea since it comes with a coffeetaste. A kettle would be nice. The air-conditioning system works good, it keeps the room nice and cool but even if you turn it off, the system still makes a sound. Most likely for air ventilation but it is very noticeable.

The location is perfect, if ou come in late. Within a couple of minutes you can go out for dinner/bear/breakfast if you don't want to stay in the hotel. Even the best sweetie coffee is just around the corner in walking distance, as also so all kind of food restaurants. The staf is friendly and speak many languages. There is a guard around the hotel. Parking available.
