Stonecross Manor Hotel

We had dinner one night which was quite nice and breakfasts were also good. We appreciated the lift as my husband has a walking stick.

Room was quite small as well as the bathroom. Shower over the bath causes more problems with water all over the floor. There was no body wash, shampoo or conditioner except a very small bar of soap that could have been used for body and hair. Lucky for us I had my survival kit with me which included all of the above and more. The room we’re in now in Oban is smaller 😩but since being in Europe I’ve realised that anyone going overseas needs to book at least a superior room, not standard if you want more room.

The staff were amazing and friendly. Very clean and also quiet hotel Facilities such as having a swimming pool albeit small. Breakfast was very good and quality ingredients. Local to where I was working as a business trip Free parking

The location to travel around the lakes! The leisure facilities are just like the pictures and bathroom was great!

The hotel was BOILING! The fan was so small and the window opened a little. The food is quite overpriced and salty… I mean there was salt on my broccoli. The swimming pool is NOT heated!

Fabulous location and beautiful rooms and dining area. Helen was fantastic and seemed to be there all the time.

Location

I booked a standard double room - it was very small and the walls were marked and the paint was chipped. I requested a change of room; the next ‘extremely small’ double had stains on the scatter cushions and the lamp shades - I was not comfortable. I asked to change rooms again, we were shown a superior room which is bigger, and brighter - this appeared okay. The bathroom drainage was an issue with both the sink and bath being very slow to drain. The pictures advertised on booking.com are not true to life and are false advertising. The hotel as a whole needs a lot of attention and care. I pool as far as we could see but a lot of work going on around the back of the hotel. The breakfast was also very poor quality.
