Hotel Notre Dame

Llegamos a las 10pm, cansados, con sueno y con hambre, y no habia NADIE en la casa , porque eso es, no un hotel, ahi estabamos con las maletas en la calle, una persona q paso nos hizo el favor de llamar por telefono, la duena dijo q no eran horas de llegar, un hotel es 24 hrs, hasta donde tengo conocimiento, tuvimos que esperar como 10 minutos a que llegara la senora y nos habriera el lugar, y se volvio a ir, dijo q todo estaba cerrado porque la gente trabaja y tiene que descansar. Y no pudimos comer. Dan desayuno bufet por 8 o 9 euros, nuestra estadia era por una noche, y teniamos que dejar la habitacion antes de las 10am, nos guardo las maletas, pero cuando vinimos a recogerlas, pedi el servicio sanitario, y no le gusto, en la habiacion el bano es super pequeno no tiene secadora de pelo, y solo dan 2 jabon de bano.

La chambre est petite et vieillotte, la literie un peu molle mais les gérants sont sympathiques, serviables (prêt d'un parapluie), et parlent français.

J'ai adoré le côté un peu vieillot de cet établissement, attention à l'escalier très raide. Idéalement situé, acceuil charmand par un couple parlant parfaitement le français. Petit déjeuner copieux et succulent avec confitures maison et omelette. Seul bémol la literie et la luminosité de la chambre. Nous avons passé 2 nuits et y reviendrions sans hésiter.

Hotel Notre Dame is a small hotel with good rooms at a good price. The owners are friendly people who can speak English. The hotel is near the center of town and so near pretty much anything in Bruges. There is a European breakfast buffet available every day for a moderate additional cost.

My friends and I only spent one night here, but it was very enjoyable. The location is fantastic--right off the main square with numerous restaurants. Major sights are within a very short walk. The main issue for us was parking--numerous public parking garages but it took awhile to drive to them because of the one-way streets. The owner of the hotel was lovely. She and her husband have owned the hotel only for 3 months, and they are starting renovations to the rooms. Our room was basic but comfortable, with a small but functional bathroom. Great breakfast for about €8. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Notre Dame again!

I forhold til det kun var et 1 stjernet hotel, syntes jeg at det var et helt ok hotel. Værtsparet var flinke, og meget hjælpsomme. Morgenmaden var også helt i orden. Beliggenheden var helt i top. Den eneste ulempe kunne måske være den stejle trappe op til værelserne. Hotellet kan helt sikkert anbefales.

Good location but price was pretty low:) Also breakfast was nice and we had a great stay!

The room we had wasn't great - it was quite dated and not in great condition, and the toilet was in a sort of wardrobe. This was more than compensated however by the great location (15 mins' walk from the train station and really close to the centre and all the main sites) and the breakfast, which was included in the price and included a great range of sweet and savoury items (as well as a delicious homemade chocolate spread from the chocolate shop next door). The staff were also incredibly friendly and happy to give lots of useful information about the local area.

Lovely building, tall town house, close to centre. Spiral staircase beautiful but very steep and narrow. Room v basic, but charming efficient staff, and excellent breakfast. Many good restaurants in easy walking distance. Advertised as having parking, but not so. However, underground car park just down the street at only 5.50 per 24hrs.
