Port Motel

Old and needs a lot of help..

Perfectly fine place to stay the night.

Quiet, affordable and comfortable for the type of lodging.

I liked the BBQ on the site but it worked only on one side and they have a charcoal BBQ too but i did not used that one.

The curtains of the bed had mildew on them and the shower and out the shower too, the placed smelled like a wet dog, well I looked at the filter of the AC and sure enough it had a bunch of dog hair in it and dirty filters the front desk guy clean them up for me what a nice gesture ya it should have been done before i got there, some will say you get what you paid for, but sorry I stay now in a motel in Niagara fall for 20$ more and and it's a clean place for 155$ a day I stayed there for 2 days in Niagara Fall if I compare the 2 the Port Motel gets 1 star and the other one is a 4 star place for almost the same price I will be back at that place in Niagara fall for sure I have one thing to say to the owner clean the place one room at a time and you will get better reviews for sure focus on one room first and rent only that one and you will see the difference in the reviews and they have a pool but it does not seems to be filtering the pool because the level of the water was down below the skimmers and the bottom was not super clean maybe it was a bad day for the pool but I have my doubt with that place and it has picnic tables that are good some of them and some are so so and they have a park on the site too for the little kids to have fun, like I said this place as potential but they need to work at it.

1st. night not to bad but bathroom filthy with mould. Due to flooding in Montreal Que. we had to return home and the owner REFUSED to give us a refund for 1 night. It was necessary to leave and he would not even listen. Will NEVER stay there again and will advise others.

Rude check in. Chemical in room was so strong I didn’t stay my second night. My room was inside and I felt unsafe and exposed.

The rooms were clean . Beds were comfortable . They had a microwave , mini fridge with a freezer so its is possible to bbq on their bbq. Coffee was available in the room and there were picnic tables to sit on

The pool was very dirty , the grounds were not well maintained . The bolt lock on my room was broken and I got locked into my room . I was able to contact the owner . He climbed in my bathroom window and was able to take the bolt off . He gave me a new room and gave me a credit for the aggravation. My new room was good ..

We really enjoyed our stay. There was a nice pool, play equipment for kids, a bbq and a gazebo. Very clean and the owner was very friendly. It is located just on the edge of town, so nice an quiet.

It's a beautiful and convenient location with many amenities close by. Am trying to go back before winter too
