"Homely bed and breakfast"

Pauline and Simon were lovely and very friendly. Pauline gave us advice on where to eat and day trips to Whitby. She couldn't do enough to make sure we had a great stay. Lovely clean room and amazing variety for breakfast. Off road private parking was excellent too.

"Deur badkamer /slaapkamers ontbrak"

Het ontbijt was goed, voldoende vers fruit beschikbaar. English breakfast ook zeer lekker. Er was geen Early Grey thee meer beschikbaar, maar gastvrouw bracht dit de volgende dag in orde 👍

We kwamen van Malton met de bus en bij het uitstappen vroegen we aan een dame waar Crossways zich bevond? Een dame gaf een nors antwoord en stak de straat met ons over. Het hotel bevond zich aan de overkant van de bushalte, maar er was niets vermeld aan het gebouw. Binnen gekomen zag ik dat die norse vrouw de gastvrouw / eigenares was...!! We werden dan begeleid door een jonge man naar onze kamer. Die was netjes, maar wanneer de jonge man weg was en we de badkamer wilden ingaan, zagen we dat er geen deur instond tussen de badkamer en slaapkamer! We zijn 2 collega's en er was dus totaal geen privacy, toilet bezoek en douche. We moesten gebruik maken van het gemeenschappelijk toilet op het gelijkvloers en ook wanneer we ons wilden douchen ging één van ons naar beneden. Mijn collega had de jonge man /zoon onmiddellijk ingelicht van dit probleem, maar de eigenares kwam slechts de laatste dag (dag4) vertellen dat de deur was vernield de nacht voor onze aankomst en zij dit pas opgemerkt hadden de dag dat wij arriveerden... Eerlijk gezegd vond ik dit zeer laat en niet professioneel! We vinden dat we te veel betaald hebben voor het ongemak dat we ondervonden.. Had de eigenares een geste gedaan,, zou ik hierover niet gesproken hebben.
