Nice staff

Room too small for 2 people. Bathroom very tiny, in the shower you can only stand. It's a hostel but I did not see it mentioned anywhere in the ad.

Very good location, close to the shopping area, close to the old town and restaurants. 24/7 reception.

parking only possible on the street, paid Mon-Fri (8:00-20:00). The mattress was already very worn, so the bed not too comfortable. In other European cities would you get higher standard for this money.

The staff was really helpful and nice - I encountered about four different staff (one in training) and they were all really lovely and helpful. On arrival day they helped me with my bags and later one even made me coffee at breakfast when I didn't know how to use the coffee machine :) The little kitchen in the Helvetia Plus building has all the stuff you'd expect, plates, cups, cutlery, microwave, kettle, they even provide free tea and coffee for the guests, which I made use of. The common room has some activities and even some free candy. I expected a shared bathroom, but it was only shared with one other room, which was really very nice, I think it was only occupied when I wanted to use it a single time. Bathroom was very clean, toilet paper was always stocked. The kitchen and common area were also very clean and nice. The breakfast was okay - there weren't that many options, but the classics for ho(s)tel breakfast (bread, ham and cheese, sausages, condiments, butter, jam, cereal, milk, coffee and tea etc) were all present. My room was very reasonable for the price, the inside was nice and while it being on a ground floor/basement level has disadvantages, it actually helped keep it reasonably cool, even if it was really hot outside. The room even had a free toothbrush and shampoo sample. The Plus building opens with only your key card, no need to worry about a code. The street the Plus building is on doesn't really lead anywhere so there was no car traffic on it, that was good. Metro is also nearby in either direction, and just a few streets away towards the river there's a cool area with many bars. Old town is just a few streets away in the other direction - overall the location is excellent, I always returned from the old town on foot, it was that close. Even the main train station is technically in walking distance if you don't mind a 30+ minute walk.

The kaiser rolls at breakfast were never completely fresh :( It is a tiny bit inconvenient that the breakfast is served in the main building (which is about a street away), so one has to walk over there every morning, but it wasn't too bad. Since the room window is directly into the street on ground level, you need to have your blinds closed all the time if you want complete privacy (there is a metal cage, so safety is not an issue, just privacy/noise). People and dogs walking around woke me up a couple times in the morning when I slept with the window cracked open. Other than that there were no issues, I'd recommend this place. :)

The location is perfect, just next to main street which leads to an old town. The room is in another building than a reception. I was happy that room was very clean, spacious, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was served in a building where reception is, need to walk around 5 minutes. We found everything what is needed for a breakfast. There is a parking beside a building, but it is paid.

The shower was a little bit broken.
