Auldington Hotel

Generous size and comfortable room with common balcony available.

Location is good and walkable to the Cataract Gorge, which is fabulous and highly recommend. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was huge and the only criticism is hoovering of the carpet, especially around the edges could have been better. Everything else was clean.

The lift wasn’t working, but staff did help to carry suitcases up to our room. They were in the process of getting it fixed. Staff will carry suitcases up and down for you.

It’s such a lovely property and the bath was amazing.

The lift was out which made carting heavy luggage up the stairs a pain - the staff were very helpful however.

Location for our purposes and available off street parking.

The property oozes old world charm, spaciousness and comfort and is a short walk to the CBD. The communal verandah and sitting room were a real bonus.

At the time we were there the lift was not fully operational, however on arrival and departure James, our host, was most helpful with luggage.

Auldington is within walking distance to the city centre. Plenty of parking space. The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable of sights and eateries in the local area. The room was spacious, quiet and catered for all we needed with a fridge , kettle, microwave and crockery. A lovely touch with supplies of drinks, chips, chocolates. Had a wonderful view from the balcony. Would highly recommend a stay.

Although we found no fault with the cleanliness of the bed linen, bathroom and kitchen areas, we felt the standard of cleaning could be improved. Concentrating on all the minor aspects of cleaning doors, dusting, scrubbing shower cubicle grouting would make all the difference to meeting the hotel's 4.5 star rating.
