"The B&B was a great experience!"

10.0

We enjoyed this B&B so much...once we found it! Definitely not the easiest place to find initially but very much worth it! The owners are so nice and accommodating. The room was perfect and comfortable with plenty of room to relax. A very quiet and safe area since it appears that they don't even lock the doors! We can't wait to go back!!

"Perfect stay"

8.0

We stayed for 1 night during a tour of the Loire valley. The host could not have been more helpful. He arranged dinner for us at a local restaurant. The breakfast was a typical French breakfast. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. The wine is made by his son and is reasonably priced and very good.

"Hotel on winery property"

10.0

We had a wonderful stay at Les Pierres d'Aurèle and wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is set in an idealic location surrounded by grape vines. Pierre was extremely friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was unique as it included fresh grape juice and home made preserves. This was not a typical hotel experience. For example, upon returning from a long day of sight seeing, Pierre's father greeted us warmly and poured us glasses of their lovely wine. A perfect ending to a beautiful day in the Loire.

"Great family-run hotel and winery"

10.0

Great little hotel off the beaten path, run by the head winemaker. Excellent service and friendly hosts - even booked us a table at a good local restaurant. Very good, clean and comfortable country-style rooms. Winery on site with good wines, so you can check into the rooms then taste wine with the owners. Would stay here again if in the area.

"Wonderful, peaceful, great Loire stay"

10.0

We just returned from a 16 day trip to France and, in terms of accommodation, this was the highlight. The host family was very hospitable. The son and daughter owned it, but we interacted mostly with the father who was an incredible host. As we were saying good-bye after our 3-day stay, I could see slight welling in his eyes. The setting overlooking their vineyard was beautiful and so peaceful. There are five rooms, some for couples and some that can accommodate a family of four. The guests were always very quiet. The rooms were clean and attention to detail was evident. The mother's artwork in the rooms and halls were an added special touch. This is a place we will not forget and will come back to if we ever tour the Loire again!

"Great Service, Close to Chateaux Chenonceau"

10.0

Great hospitality from the family owner of the hotel. Pierre and his family greeted us and helped us with everything. We had a nice time. Clean room in excellent condition. NO TV. We used the WiFi internet in the living with a complimentary glass of wine made by them.. Highly Recommended.

"Great service and good rooms too"

10.0

Near the Chenonceaux chateaux Pierre's family was very hospitable. Friendly and helped us out in everything. Nice room, climatized, complete bathroom, no TV. Internet access is in the living room and while we were there they gave us a couple of glasses of wine made in their vineyard. We gad a nice tine there. Highly recommended.

"Nice rooms and grounds, slightly awkward interactions with owner"

6.0

We spent a night here on our long drive from Dordogne back to Paris. The b&b is located on a working vineyard, so the grounds were really nice. Rooms were also pretty nice, modern and spacious. We mostly interacted with the female owner, whose english was good enough that we were able to interact and get restaurant recommendations, though we had some awkward moments. I asked if we could chill a half bottle of champagne we had bought elsewhere since we were leaving France in two days and trying to finish it, and she said "oh we sell those here!" Umm...ok. The next morning we had breakfast and the couple next to us had some eggs which we didn't see on the buffet table, so my boyfriend asked for eggs. She made them, but then had her son (who speaks better English) come out to tell us they don't normally make eggs but the woman next to us was diabetic and couldn't eat the other stuff so they had made them. And also they found their last two eggs and made them for us. We felt bad because we didn't realize it was a special order (boyfriend is also diabetic actually) but it was just an awkward situation. Otherwise it was a nice stay, very reasonably priced. We didn't try any of their wines since we couldn't buy bottles to take home, but we would have had we stayed longer. They also cook dinner for their guests but we had declined because we wanted to visit Chateau Chenonceau at night (which is located conveniently nearby). Would recommend this place for a short stay in the area.
