Blue Seas Courtyard

The Blue Seas Courtyard exceeded our expectations. The owners live on site and are very personable. They treat every guest as a personal friend. The hand painted decor was beautiful. The pool area was very inviting. The location was perfect. It was very quiet and relaxing yet a short walk to restaurants, bars, gift shops and nightlife. Many guest were staying for an extended stay. We highly recommend this resort.

My friend and I decided to stay there for a girls trip based on the excellent reviews we read. We thought the rooms were fine and clean, and if that’s all we would’ve experienced, we would’ve come away with a positive one for sure. But unfortunately, the list kept growing of negative experiences. We decided to stay there based on a quiet adult only atmosphere which this hotel offered and that’s what we were seeking. Unfortunately, when a family of four with a baby and a five year-old showed up, instead of turning them away to the dozens of kid friendly hotels nearby, they went against their own policy and took their money and gave them the room next to me which allowed me sleepless nights, listening to the chaos. Nothing was done to accommodate me or compensate me or the fact that I was spending time with my girlfriend away from my family and kids and just wanted a quiet relaxing get away and sleep is important! By my fourth day, I needed a new beach towel because it had rained two days prior and no one is there on the weekends to help so I had to wait days to see anyone who could help. I asked the owner because he was the only one who I saw outside, and he was annoyed that he would have to go to the laundry room 20 feet way to fetch me one. After an eye roll and a sigh, he decided he could handle it, and I felt like I was in the wrong for asking such a thing as I was heading to the beach and couldn’t use my dirty wet towel from three days ago. On the final morning, we’re trying to pack up to leave to go to the airport and we had paid for our rooms till 11 which is standard checkout and we were still asked if my friend could check out early from her room to stay with me because they were behind and needed her room early to begin cleaning for the next guests. No compensation offered but we agreed to help them out anyway. On a final note, I was recovering from knee surgery and have to wear a brace and be extra careful with the stairs. After zero recognition of the loud family sharing my room’s wall, asking my friend to leave her room early and stay with me, inconveniencing them by asking for a single beach towel and the final blow was us two ladies exiting with all our luggage & suitcases while Gary and Marc are just standing at the bottom on the stairs doing nothing as we are struggling with the suitcases down the stairs and I can’t carry mine due to my knee brace. They just ignored us as we stumbled out to our uber in the street with all our luggage and my injured knee. Not even an ounce of hospitality. Never again Blue Seas. You really blew it.

The Blue Seas lived up to all the great reviews. The location is great, walking distance to the beach and town. The hotel is well kept, the room was decorated beautifully and was very comfortable.

So clean! So comfy! So close to everything! You do not need a car. IF you can get a room, book it. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

This little resort was everything we had hoped for and more! We gathered with my husband’s sisters and in-laws and it was the perfect spot for three couples to catch up. The heated pool is absolutely amazing, and the artwork and decor is so fun. We stayed in apartment #2, which is steps away from the pool but never noisy. We were in between two other apartments and didn’t ever hear the other guests. We had access to everything we needed for trips to the beach and nearby stores, plus bikes to cover more ground. Gary and Rachel were moving all the time, taking care of us and keeping it all clean and tidy. It really is as wonderful as the photos appear. We will definitely choose Blue Seas Courtyard when we return to Lauderdale by the Sea!
